?? If you look at Linkedin posts of yesteryears, you'll always see a post about "what an exciting time in the payments". TBH payments is always exciting, the industry is changing faster than a politician changes their mind.... Let's hope Peter Dutton changes his mind quickly ??
?
Where was I.... Oh yeah, payments and the world of infinite change. Having been in payments for longer than I was at high school, I thought I knew a lot about payments. Well... this dawg has learned a new trick thanks to the payment's legend Matthew Dingess.
Did you know that Click to Pay is poised for a big breakthrough? ?? Initially slow ?? to catch on due to the lack of cards enrolled in the program (weird someone thought it was a good idea for cards to opt in), this innovative payment method is now set to revolutionise online payments. Mass card enrolment by the issuers will remove the biggest barrier to use ?? now card holders won't have to opt in!
Let's take a closer look at Click to Pay ??
?? Click to Pay: Originally introduced to streamline online payments, Click to Pay offers a seamless, secure checkout experience across various merchants and platforms. Its evolution has been marked by enhanced security features and improved user interfaces, making it a game-changer in the digital payment landscape.
?
Jargon aside, it's a wallet that allows you to pay in one click without having to enter card details (insert oh Google and Apple Pay do that already). Like a mid-morning infomercial "but wait there's more"....
?? The Turning Point: However, the tide is turning on adoption! With increasing awareness of the benefits—such as enhanced security, convenience, and consistent user experience—Click to Pay is gaining momentum. Major players in the financial industry are aligning forces to standardise and promote its usage, ensuring a smoother transition for both consumers and businesses alike.
?? Why Now? Vs the other wallets, Click to Pay offers a strong advantage of reducing friction at the checkout... drumroll please ?? Shipping Details populated at the checkout (yes PayPal Checkout can do this but that's different).
?
Unlike Google and Apple Pay, Click to Pay populates the consumers delivery ?? address (the address linked to the card), making it faster and easier guest checkout experience.
?
Pretty cool if you ask me!
