Dealing with Lyme disease can feel overwhelming, but managing your symptoms through proper nutrition can make a huge difference. In Part 2 of GLA's Lyme & Nutrition Series, sponsored by RxSugar?! ?? the @thelymedietitian explores the connection between gut health, inflammation, and immune function, and how they all interrelate in the “Lyme Quadrifecta": https://hubs.la/Q02RRtfN0 Sara's blog highlights five actionable diet tips, from eliminating gluten and added sugars to incorporating more plant-based and anti-inflammatory foods. Each step is designed to strengthen your gut, balance your immune system, and reduce the inflammation that Lyme often triggers. ?? One surprising yet impactful suggestion is aiming for 30+ different plant foods a week, adding diversity and nutrients to help the gut thrive. Speaking of sugar, it’s important to cut down on refined sugars to help manage inflammation. Thank you to RxSugar? for being the Official Sponsor of our Lyme and Nutrition Series. RxSugar? Certified Allulose products are a great natural sugar alternative to refined sugar. Allulose is the only natural sugar with metabolic benefits and supports the body’s production of GLP-1 and GLP-2 (which helps to mitigate the impact of leaky gut). Only problem is affording to eat this way. SNAP $23 per month doesn’t cut it. Church / Food pantry mostly gives canned & processed foods.

4 个月Please note—to those that are sensitive to corn, allulose is a corn product. Finding the right diet can be tough, not to mention that many with Lyme also have MCAS, food sensitivities/allergies, and alpha gal allergy which can further restrict the diet. Figuring out what works best for your body can be tricky but completely worth it! I used allulose for a long time until I realized corn was an issue for me and had to remove it from my diet.
