Using less not only saves money, time and skin but also the environment. “To me the only real luxury in today's world is time. Time is limited. It's also one of the most equal and relatable things in the world: it does not care too much about our gender, hair or skin colour, or our status. Many of us would do anything to get more if we could? And yet us women spend hours daily being insecure? At AIVA we say f**k anti-age, f**k pro-age –as in my opinion we should not talk about changing or correcting age when selling skincare. As for me, the time we get is a gift. It should be celebrated instead. In my opinion, the Cosmetics industry is partly to blame: For us women especially, we are presented still in the year 2023 as pretty plastic faces with something to fix and correct. To fight. Beauty is mostly a woman's industry, and we can absolutely do better. I am surrounded only by smart, capable, strong and fearless women - so I know this! AIVA pays attention to kind hearts and if something must be sexy, it should be our brains. Our courage. Our strong bodies giving us so much. Gen X to ‘Normalize Aging’: Buzzword or Mindset Shift? Recently, I had the pleasure of attending the WWD Beauty CEO Summit in Key Biscayne. While today's focus often centers around #GenZ, particularly in marketing, I appreciated our in-depth exploration of behavioral changes among #GenX. Instead of focusing on slowing down skin aging, Gen X increasingly aims to normalize skin aging by protecting and nourishing their skin. ? Brooke Shields joined us in chat hosted by the esteemed Jenny B. Fine and highlighted the importance of #selflove for women. For her, aging means #growth and #development—both inside and out. According to her, embracing healthy, aging skin can lead to changes in the entertainment industry and, from there, also influence others. ?? Surveys show ‘normalizing aging’ and ‘embracing everyone’s own beauty’ are top-ranked regarding what Gen X women wish the beauty industry knew about them.
