From laborer to executive. That’s not just a nice headline. It’s Jose Saravia’s story at Anchor. One of the first three employees hired when Anchor was founded, Jose started on the ground level, literally. He picked up tools as a laborer, put in the hours, and kept pushing forward. Foreman, superintendent, and now Vice President of Operations. His story reminds us that the ceiling is what you make it in construction. The trades aren’t just about building things. They’re about building careers. And that’s why this industry needs more people like Jose. As we celebrate Careers in Construction month, it reminds us that the path to success might be a tough climb. But if you’re dedicated, it’s a climb worth taking. The trades have been, and always will be, a place where hard work opens doors. And for those willing to walk through them? The sky’s the limit. So are you ready to start your journey? Join the trades today. #construction #anchorconstruction #utilities

Imagine your million-dollar drilling operation grinding to a halt because you ran out of pipe dope. Sounds absurd, right? Yet, that’s exactly what happened to a client of ours. When we performed a Supply Chain Assessment, we discovered their entire inventory management process boiled down to BYOP—Bring Your Own Pants. No system, no checks, just scribbled notes on work clothes. The result? Sky-high downtime costs and chaos. For over 20 years, I’ve led inventory management projects across the globe—spanning energy, manufacturing, and logistics. And I’ve seen my fair share of inefficiencies, but this BYOP (literally writing material IDs on pants) was a first. Here’s what we uncovered: 1?? There was no plan to track high-usage items stored outside secure locations. 2?? Rig managers avoided the warehouse because they didn’t know how to assess or contribute to inventory management. 3?? The “system” relied on memory and handwritten notes—leading to delayed issuance and critical stockouts. To fix this, we implemented: ? A robust process for managing unsecured inventory, with frequent cycle counts. ? A checklist for rig managers to evaluate and support warehouse operations effectively. ? Clear accountability and streamlined communication between field teams and supply chain managers. Downtime from poor inventory management isn’t just costly—it’s avoidable. If you’re struggling with inefficiencies at a facility you manage, I have a checklist that can help your team ensure your warehouses are running like clockwork. Drop me a comment or message, and I’d be happy to share it. Have you ever seen or experienced a unique inventory management issue like BYOP? Let’s discuss how even small changes can have a massive impact. #SupplyChainManagement #InventoryOptimization #WarehouseEfficiency #OilAndGasIndustry #LeadershipInAction #LessonsLearned #EfficiencyMatters #OperationalExcellence #CostSavings #RigManagement

I guess you're less likely to lose a note written on your pants than on a sticky note?! Either way is probably not the most efficient method for managing inventory. We all have to start somewhere though! Chris and the team at RIGSERV have seen just about everything and can help optimize and upgrade whatever process you're using. Reach out to learn more! #RIGSERV #InventoryManagement

??♂? Construction Safety Week Highlight: Personal Ownership in Action ??♂? As we kick off Construction Safety Week, we're proud to spotlight the proactive safety measures taken by our team members. Today, we celebrate Gary Forshey, whose keen awareness and responsibility on the job site set a powerful example. Last week, while directionally drilling for a 6” gas line, Gary encountered resistance underground. Trusting his instincts, he immediately ceased operations. Upon investigation, the team uncovered an old, unmarked storm drain—preventing what could have been a hazardous situation. Gary's quick thinking underscores a vital safety message: If you see something, own it. If you walk by, you condone it. His actions exemplify our commitment to not only following safety procedures but enhancing them, ensuring the well-being of our community and team. Stay tuned this week as we continue to celebrate safety and our dedicated team at R&R Pipeline! #ConstructionSafetyWeek #SafetyFirst #RRPipeline #TeamworkInAction #SafetyCulture
