Research is the reason cash transfers went from 'you must be mad' to mainstream. This opportunity to lead research at GiveDirectly requires technical chops, relational depth, leadership, moral vision- and it's going to be a lot of fun. https://lnkd.in/gqhKawsH
Loved USAID’s inclusion of providing unconditional funds to individuals, households and micro enterprises as a localization best practice, too ??
A study on cash assistance in Ethiopian humanitarian context will be a good source of study. There are good examples to draw on such as establishing markets when they do not exist while providing cash assistance; linking cash for labor with shelter repair, etc.

1 周I am sorry to see my comment asking for transparency on related party transactions and returns on privatized spinoffs owned by governing GiveDirectly directors deleted as well as my comments on GD’s role in undermining public faith in USAID. To censor such questions itself is deeply concerning as a past GiveDirectly donor. It seems that the ostensible value of transparency is more performative than functional. I will post separately.?
