Most people work hard every day to keep a roof over their family’s heads, put food on the table, and build a stable life for their children. In many households, not mine, two incomes are needed just to cover the essentials, and balancing work and family is a constant challenge. Yet, even in a world where everyone’s trying their best, judgment and defensiveness often overshadow kindness and support. Why do we feel the need to judge others so quickly? Why do so many feel the urge to constantly defend their choices? The truth is, every one of us is juggling demands, personal battles, and financial pressures. Many parents, especially mums, work not just to support their families financially but also to create brighter futures for their children. For parents and small business owners alike, more kindness and understanding can make a world of difference. Small business owners, particularly women and mothers, often face steep challenges. Running a business while raising children requires tremendous dedication, resilience, and long hours. Supporting women in business, families, and small businesses isn’t just a boost to our local economy—it’s an investment in the future of our communities and the people raising the next generation. Healthy competition in business drives progress, innovation, and growth. But there’s a big difference between healthy competition and unnecessary rivalry.
