We couldn’t have done it without YOU Emma! ??
Business Ambassador - Aspiring Music Marketer - Podcaster - Full-time Marketing and Business Management student at Utah State University
This month, I had the honor of participating in the Girls Who Listen Inc. Mentorship Program. Now that the program has come to a close, I want to take the time to reflect on what this has meant to me and thank those who made it amazing. As an aspiring music marketer who is not geographically located in any major music/entertainment hub, breaking into the highly competitive industry is a challenge I have been working tirelessly through. Girls Who Listen Inc. gave me an opportunity to be in the same (zoom) room as people who are working the jobs I hope to work in after graduation. Hearing their insight into what they do day-to-day, the mistakes they made, the success they've achieved, the artists they work with, etc, has all inspired me to my core and solidified that this is the career path I want to continue to pursue. THANK YOU to all the panelists who took valuable time out of their day to speak with us and share their insights into the music industry. I look up to each of you in awe, and I will never forget the advice you gave my fellow mentees and me. THANK YOU to?Jade L.?for moderating our Zoom calls each week and helping my fellow mentees and me get the best out of this program. THANK YOU, especially to?Kadijat Salawudeen,?for seeing potential in me and granting me access to this amazing opportunity. THANK YOU to my fellow mentees for your participation and community! I can't wait to see where we all end up in a few years. I look forward to chatting with all of you as we progress toward our career goals together. I look forward to being a part of more opportunities like this in the future (Grammy University, I'm looking at you!), and maybe one day, I'll return as a panelist/mentor! This has truly fueled me to keep persevering toward my goals and has given me a new wave of courage and hope. If you want to hear more about my experience with Girls Who Listen Inc. and what I'm up to now, please feel free to shoot me a message. I would love to chat.
