Free gifts aren't compelling incentives for new customers. True or false, what I've noticed brand side is: a) strong emphasis on low cost gifts b) less so on value to customers. The result is often free gift offers that don't make customers go wide-eyed. I believe they can be compelling though, you just have to hit FOUR key notes not one: ? strong sentimental value ? enhance value of item being paid for ? decent functional value on its own ? low cost (because no one wants to lose money) ------------- Example: Premium vodka brand says, “get free tall cocktail glass when you shop a bottle of vodka” Premium apparel brand says, "get free neck scarf when you shop X" Sentimental value = ?? It doesn’t matter if it’s shoes by company X Perfume by company Y If you don’t vibe with the brand You won’t buy into the labels they sell. So think of everyone you know like a brand. With their words, actions and behaviours revealing what their brand stands for. If their words, actions and behaviours don’t align with you Then it shouldn’t matter what associated labels they try to convince you to wear. When the idea that you’re a certain type of person is introduced by them you’re unintelligent is introduced by them you’re unattractive is introduced by them you’re not worthy is introduced by them you’re inauthentic is introduced by them you’re too much or crazy is introduced by them Regardless of the labels, you must remember ? You don’t align with their brand ? You don’t believe in their brand ? You don’t even like what their brand represents So why would you buy into or wear the labels they try to put on you? Those labels are not your style They don’t fit you Set the boundary Create space for what does fit you Move on. What would you add? ??
