**My Journey in Product Design and Tech: Embracing the Future** From a curious beginner to a confident product designer, my journey in tech has been a transformative experience. I started with a passion for creativity and problem-solving, and over time, I found my niche in product design. Today, I want to share my story and inspire others to embark on their own journeys in the tech world. My fascination with technology began in my early years, when I would spend hours tinkering with gadgets and exploring new software. It wasn't always easy, and I faced numerous challenges and setbacks. However, my determination and love for innovation kept me going. I realized that every obstacle was an opportunity to learn and grow. As I delved deeper into tech, I discovered the field of product design. It was the perfect blend of creativity, functionality, and user experience. I immersed myself in learning the fundamentals, from user research and wireframing to prototyping and usability testing. The journey was demanding, but incredibly rewarding. The path to becoming a product designer was filled with highs and lows. I encountered moments of self-doubt and uncertainty, but I also experienced the joy of seeing my designs come to life and positively impact users. Each project taught me something new, whether it was about collaboration, innovation, or resilience. Through perseverance and continuous learning, I built a career in product design. I had the privilege of working with talented teams and contributing to exciting projects. Along the way, I also focused on developing soft skills, such as communication and leadership, which are crucial in the tech industry. Hello out there [ out there [ there [ there ] ] ] ... This little 'coming soon' image announces my latest approach to 'Design myself back into the industry' by creating an evolving, somewhat experimental, asynchronous, and iterative 'work-in-progress' sandbox right here on LinkedIn over the near-future weeks. Through posts with links to my evolving work, I plan to demonstrate my process, expertise, and capabilities as a user-centered designer by solving for the problem 'I need to land a UX Lead role on an excellent Product Design and Development Team at an amazing future-forward thinking organization in today's volatile tech job market after a lengthy career break.' More to come ... so it's all goodness here, working on a way to produce a breakthough to possibilities by thinking and acting beyond the current box by standing on the table — both of which, by the way, we all know as designers, really don't exist in the real world anyways. #ux #ucd #humancentered #workinprogress #careerpath #jobsearch #portfolio #uxportfolio #casestudies #seemework #watchmework #sorta #outsidethebox #seatatthetable #smashthebox #sellthetable #productdesign #bedesign #bebold #beamazing #isallaboutawayofbeing #feedbackplease #feelfreetocomment #thisisit #2024yall #thisisgonnarock #authenticapproach #nomorecookiecutters #vulnerable #real #funny #humor #awkward #buildingavision #designyourcareer #staytuned

?My Learning as a UI/UX Designer? I often struggle in understanding concepts quickly. There could be multiple factors contributing in this situation, be it my background shift from Literature to Design or Overthinking/Self-doubts: ??“Oh! Maybe I’m missing out on some important feature/point.” ??”I’m sure there’s a better way to understand/solve this problem.” ???But ONE thing that always gets me through any initial problem is to actually start working on it. It’s all about breaking the threshold that’s holding you back. Take that FIRST STEP! ??? ??Breakdown the problem in simple points that are easy to understand. ??Designers, use your presentation skills and fill that Figjam board by brainstorming ideas. Learning is a continuous process. 1% Improvement everyday will eventually make you better than what you were yesterday. What struggles did you face in your initial days? I’d love to know and learn from them. ? #UIUXDesign #UX #ProductDesign #Startups #GrowthMindset #DesignJourney

Aspiring Product Designer | Combining Analytical Skills from Collision Estimation with User Experience Design
?? Laid Off and Leveling Up: My Journey into Product Design & UX/UI ?? This past July, I faced the unexpected—I was laid off after 10 years in the automotive industry. While it was a tough moment, I saw it as an opportunity to reimagine my career path and pursue something I’ve always been passionate about: Product Design & UX/UI. I’ve spent the past few months diving into UX/UI design, learning new tools, and embracing the tech world head-on. ?? From Figma wireframes to user research strategies, I’m fully committed to this transition. What’s really struck me is how much problem-solving and collaboration—skills I honed in my previous career as a Collision Repair Estimator—are at the heart of great design. Transitioning industries isn’t easy, but it’s a challenge I’m excited about. ?? Whether you’re new to design or a seasoned professional, I’d love to connect with those in the Product Design and Tech space who can relate to career pivots, offer advice, or share experiences. If you’ve made a similar shift, what’s one thing that surprised you along the way? Let’s learn from each other! #CareerTransition #UXDesign #ProductDesign #TechJourney #DesignCommunity #LaidOffButNotStopped #StartingOver #Change #Tech

To everyone hiring UX/UI Designers, Somehow, the role of UX/UI Designers has become a bit unsexy lately. People say we’re too academic, too detailed, and too slow in our processes. But we are outcome-oriented! We know you want to build products that: ? help people accomplish their tasks efficiently, ? people love using again and again and again, ? stand out from competitors, ? and that you wanna grow your business (fast). ?? To help create that outcome, we need the right insights to make good, or even better, design decisions. Good design decisions aren’t based on assumptions, and, unfortunately, we’re not all-knowing. We need to understand how YOUR users behave and what their pain points are using YOUR product. Research doesn’t have to be overwhelming or expensive. If you’re tight on time or budget, here are some small, impactful steps: ? Schedule short, regular user interviews (15 min/week can do wonders), ? Share sketches or wireframes early to gather feedback, ? Test prototypes quickly with 5-10 users, ? Look at successful design patterns and competitors, ? Measure and analyze how people interact with your product. These small steps make a big difference in ensuring your design decisions achieve the outcomes you’re looking for. Would love to hear if any of these resonate – or if you have other quick wins that have worked for you. #uxdesign #uxdesigners #uidesigners #startups #outcome #businessgoals #growingbusinesses P.S. Sorry for the spelling mistakes in the picture, but this is AI in October 2024

Hello LinkedIn! ?? As I reflect on the past year, I’m filled with gratitude for the personal and professional growth I’ve experienced. Although I haven’t posted much lately due to a whirlwind of exciting projects, the journey has been incredibly rewarding. One of the most thrilling aspects of enhancing my skills and collaborating with fellow designers is the exposure to fresh ideas and innovative approaches. Utilizing #UI Kits and plugins has truly transformed my work, making it both different and enjoyable. Here are a few tips to note: ?? Never stop learning. Continuous improvement is key to personal and professional growth. ?? Stay prepared for meetings or interviews related to #UIdesign or #Userexperience. Preparation boosts your confidence and showcases your expertise. ?? Believe in yourself. Confidence can significantly affect how you present your ideas and skills. Keep pushing forward and embracing new challenges! I look forward to sharing more insights and experiences with you all soon! #tech #productdesign #ux #fintech
