Meet Natasha M., Associate Director of Clinical Operations at Geron. ? Natasha?joined #TeamGeron with a deep commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation in science, while contributing to the company’s mission to transform #CancerCare. In her role, she sees firsthand how diverse ideas and collaborative efforts shape innovation in the field of medicine. ? When she was new to the industry,?Natasha?often felt?pressured to?prove herself in spaces where few people looked like her. But a conversation with a senior Black colleague changed everything.?This colleague shared stories of resilience, teaching her that every step taken was not only for oneself but also for those who were previously denied opportunities and whose contributions were ignored due to discrimination and erasure.?For?Natasha, it was a powerful lesson in the importance of representation, diversity, and the strength that comes from different perspectives. ? February is #BlackHistoryMonth, and for?Natasha this has always been a time of reflection, honoring those who broke barriers and paved the way for people like her to be recognized for their work. "When we come together with the shared understanding of equality, purpose, and goal, we empower not only ourselves but the world," she says.
Thank you for sharing yourself with us. You are definitely an inspiration to others.

6 天前I have been working with Natasha for about a year and a half on a technically complicated matter involving carcinogenic contaminants, that on a very personal note have affected her family. She’s an inspiration to work with. With a passionate determination she delves into matters that most would leave up to the “experts”: After researching toxicological and epidemiological studies, then fate and transport mechanisms of banned pesticides, she worked with me to compel regulators to take a stand on her behalf. With her levelheaded yet compelling manner she assisted with the presentation of facts through which her points were under scored, effectively bringing reluctant parties to the table in search of solutions. Natasha, I am proud of our association, and am honored to work with you! Mark Annis, LSRP ANCO Environmental
