More than a year into our great remote-work experiment, many companies say productivity has held up or even risen. So why do some bosses think that remote workers aren’t as committed as office dwellers?
It really doesn't matter where you work from. You're either an honest worker who will get the job done and put in the effort to grow or you don't. Where you work from doesn't have anything to do with your character. If your a crappy employee it's not gonna matter where you work from, you'll still be crappy. Plus many employers are offering hybrid model these days.
My personal experience I have enjoyed both. I have worked 2 days in the office and 3 days at home and my boss alternate. I think it has made me more productive and I feel I am more on top of things. Because I can do certain jobs at home and not distracted. But going in on the 2 days it great to see work colleagues for the mental health side of things. ?
I disagree and I quote “55% said they were both less productive AND less engaged working from home.” On a personal level I enjoy and tbh need, the flexibility to do both. https://www.spglobal.com/marketintelligence/en/news-insights/latest-news-headlines/work-from-home-productivity-gains-seen-evaporating-as-pandemic-grinds-on-60119373
I am a very hardworking person and highly results focused. My productivity has definitely escalated during the pandemic with home/virtual working

3 年I love working from home! I'm more focused as I experience less distractions! My hope is to never return to a regular office environment! Sure we can meet up once a quarter or once a year but I'm happy with Zoom. !
