WPCF advocates global efforts to reduce the graphic industry’s environmental footprint Recognizing printing's vital role in a circular economy, WPCF members, including Intergraf, emphasize the growing importance of environmental action. ?? WPCF advocates for a common understanding and internationally recognised assessment criteria. This initiative aims to establish transparency and consistency in reporting emissions. The vision is to create a unified approach, ensuring a clear understanding of environmental impact across the global printing landscape. ?? WPCF defines a comprehensive life cycle approach for calculating the carbon footprint of printed material, focusing on six greenhouse gases outlined in the Kyoto Protocol. Direct emissions cover fossil fuel combustion, while the Greenhouse Gas Protocol's three scopes are recommended for a thorough assessment of a printing company's carbon footprint.
