As we celebrate National Women’s History Month, we reflect on the incredible women who have shaped our communities, industries, and futures. This week, we’re spotlighting Monica Malone, PE, CFM, a Senior Water Resources Engineer in our Dallas office, as part of GEI’s #WomenInWater series. Monica believes this month is a time to recognize the achievements of trailblazing women and share their stories with the next generation. One such pioneer is Hattie Peterson, the first female African-American civil engineer in the U.S., whose work with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers paved the way for Black women in engineering. Monica also shares gratitude for Dr. Karen Butler-Purry, a professor and mentor who shaped her career and the careers of many other future STEM leaders. Join us in celebrating Monica and all the women who are making an impact in the water industry. To learn more about Monica, check out her bio on our website:?https://lnkd.in/gtK2hq_7

What a great woman! Hard working! Such a team player! So glad I had a chance to call her a co-worker and a friend.
