Unrestored classic cars are coming into their own because there are so few left. Modern concourse level restoration is characterized by remanufacturing vehicles from the component level up to a standard far higher than what originally left the factory. There's a certain sterility to that look which also isolates the product from the reality of factory and/or bespoke production along with, typically, making the vehicle a trailer queen unusable for anything except rolling them on and off trailers to show events. If you're a commoner and have $25,000 in a paint job, the last thing you want to do is drive that thing down to In N' Out and pick up a paint chip which might cost thousands to repair. It also fully negates the original intended purpose of the ride, which typically involved cruising down to In N' Out, paint chips be damned. https://lnkd.in/gB36ehqd
