India has always been home for me—my parents still live here. But my recent visit to our India Country Office was about more than a homecoming. What struck me this trip is the palpable energy here.? ? Everyone I met—leaders across government, tech, and nonprofits—is united by a bold vision: to transform the lives of millions and become a developed economy by India’s 100th anniversary in 2047. From AI-powered healthcare solutions to digital public infrastructure that connects people to vital services, India is accelerating innovations that tackle big challenges with unprecedented speed. For example, AI-powered TB screenings, once expected to take years, are now targeted for completion in just months.?India has the world’s highest TB burden, with 2.8 million cases in 2024, out of approximately 10.6 million global cases. Scaling this technology could dramatically enhance the speed and accuracy of diagnoses, ensuring timely treatment in high-burden areas and saving countless lives. It’s the speed and efficiency of the private sector applied to public good. And it’s not just about technology. Leaders here are asking tough questions about workforce inclusion—like how to bring more women into the workforce, reskill workers, and remove other barriers to economic growth. ? By exporting what it is learning—innovations designed for its domestic needs but adaptable to other countries—India is building a bold blueprint for a healthier, more equitable future for everyone. The Gates Foundation is proud to support this vision, working alongside Gates Foundation India and local partners in India to create a world where every person has the opportunity to live a healthy, productive life.??

5 天前A lot of people are dying because of mental issues like depression, anxiety, stress, overthinking & suicide & heartaches have also become pretty common. & the solution to the suffering of millions of people in india & world over is using tech, ai & education to reach the last mile in a free of cost or affordable way. I wonder if the Gates foundation is thinking in this direction too. Focussing just on physical wellbeing while ignoring mental wellbeing will never solve the problem of health, longevity & poverty of mankind Ankur. Isn't it ?
