Triad's nationwide sales team united in St. Louis for three days of learning, laughter, and team bonding. We reflected on incredible achievements in 2023 and planned for 2024, all while having a whole lot of fun! We started off with a delicious dinner at Edera, where the dinner table turned into a comedy club - fostering an atmosphere of camaraderie and shared joy. The next day we gained insights from thought-provoking presentations by department heads across design, customer service, engineering, finance, marketing, and installation. Engaging with experts from different departments provided us with a multitude of invaluable insights, enhancing our collective knowledge. Amen (our GM of facilities and production) guided us through the factory, showcasing our ongoing projects, machines, and investments. A significant investment for us was the construction of our new storage building. Wrapping up the experience, we had a blast at Top Golf, connecting with more members of our fantastic team and revealing some impressive skills among our team members. Triad is more than a team; it's a big, supportive family. We consistently have an incredible time whenever we come together, and we hope you have the opportunity to experience working with the Triad family. FUN FACTS: The strands of lights wrapped around the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree could stretch from Rockefeller Center to beyond the World Trade Center – over 50,000 lights! Extra branches are added to fill in the tree and hide all the wires and cables that are installed. After the tree is done spreading holiday cheer, it’s sent on its merry way to be used as lumber for Habitat for Humanity. The tree is well protected and even has its own sprinkler system (two men tried to light it on fire in 1995). Speaking of water, when the tree is first set up at Rockefeller Center it takes about 90 gallons of water a day. 2024 tree: Height: 74 feet Species: Norway Spruce Age: ~70 years

Congratulations on your 20-year anniversary! ?? ?? What do you enjoy most about your role at TLG? I am really enjoying being a discipline lead and supporting the team. It is fun to have the years of experience I do at this point and to be able to leverage my network and connections to help J-U-B folks work with challenging clients, agencies, and tough issues. We are working on some of the gnarliest natural resource, infrastructure, and public policy issues of the western United States and that is really fun. ?? What advice would you give to someone who is just starting in your role or department? Be continually curious. Develop relationships. Deeply care about the needs and interests of those you serve. Be fearless and take any assignment that comes your way and seek to add value. Be humble. Be patient. Have an outward mindset and don’t waste time ruminating. ?? Can you share a recent accomplishment or success story from your work?? I had a goal for a couple of years to write a peer reviewed article and get published. Last year I co-wrote a paper on ‘wicked problem solving’ with a key stakeholder from one of the biggest issues we are working on, and we got published.?It was really fun and made me think. ?? What are some of your favorite hobbies or activities outside of work?? Braiding rawhide for traditional horse/tack. Horseback riding/roping. Competitively shoot in the Precision Rifle Series. Upland bird hunting (time with my dogs). Road biking. Fly tying and fly fishing. Smoking brisket. Playing with my grandson. Genealogy. As an example: Families spend an average of around $1,188 a year on soccer costs, and travel soccer can cost?$2,000 or more. That is why some sports are dominated by certain demographics or socioeconomically status which is not totally opposite in less developed countries (see soccer an an example).
