Our partners who have spent time doing background checks and verifying users personal information for their own industries (finance, HR, health) are more than willing to store the data they verify into the wallet and earn whenever users apply their data onto useful and convenient badges. We are excited about the much-awaited Draft DPDP Rules and their potential to establish the basic structure for digital personal data rights in India. We’re particularly keen on contributing to the development of the unique consent manager ecosystem, and its potential to enhance Data Principals’ ability to effectively manage their consents across a range of Data Fiduciaries. Some aspects, such as interoperability in the consent manager ecosystem would need a carefully thought out approach, we are looking forward to contribute our learnings from the rapidly growing AA ecosystem, which has played a pioneering role in management of consent and sharing of financial data across a range of regulated financial institutions, all based on end customers’ consent! We’ll be working closely with legal experts as well as regulators to provide relevant feedback to MeitY, to ensure clarity and a strong foundation for the AA and Consent Manager regimes to thrive in parallel!
