Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform has demonstrated strong long-range performance. The Peugeot E-3008 recently completed a Paris-to-Nice trip with only two charging stops at highway speeds, showcasing the platform’s efficiency. According to Ned Curic, Stellantis' Chief Engineering and Technology Officer, the STLA Medium platform’s range is ideal for long-distance EV travel. Similar simulations with the Peugeot E-5008 and Opel Grandland confirm its long-range capability across Europe. Five additional models are set to join by 2026. But with its EV sales muted in key markets, the brand plans to develop internal combustion and electric cars in parallel for longer than originally thought. ??In contrast, rival BMW's long-term strategy of spreading its investments across ICE, hybrid, BEV and even hydrogen has proven prescient.
