Can you Imagine More for this little girl? This is a real photo of a family living in an extended stay hotel in Norcross. All of her belongings fit into a trash bag and a Wendy’s paper bag. She shares a bed—four siblings crammed together—while her mother and aunt sleep on the floor. These are the families you are directly impacting. Your generosity provides hope and dignity—a dresser to store their clothes, a bed to sleep in, a dining table to share meals as a family. This is why we are gathering on March 1st—to Imagine More for families like hers, to raise the funds needed to continue changing lives in 2025. We believe in Ephesians 3:20—that God is able to do immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine. And on March 1st, we are trusting Him to do just that. If you haven’t bought your ticket yet… we only have 40 left! Don’t miss this chance to be part of something life-changing. Get your ticket today! ?? The Power of Giving: More Than Just Money ?? In the wake of the recent hurricane, countless families have been displaced, and our homeless population in America, which numbers approximately 653,104 individuals, faces even greater challenges with Thanksgiving and Christmas quickly approaching. It’s a stark reminder of the importance of coming together to support those in need. Giving isn’t just about donating money. It’s about offering your time, skills, and compassion. Here are some impactful ways you can make a difference: ?? Volunteer Your Time: Spend a few hours at a local shelter or food bank. Your presence can provide much-needed support and comfort. ??? Share Your Skills: Whether it’s offering free haircuts, legal advice, or tutoring, your expertise can be invaluable to someone in need. ?? Donate Goods: Clothing, blankets, and hygiene products are always in high demand. Check with local organizations to see what they need most. ?? Provide Education: Share information about resources and services available to those affected. Knowledge is a powerful tool for recovery. ?? Offer Emotional Support: Sometimes, a listening ear and a kind word can make all the difference. Reach out to those who might be struggling and let them know they are not alone. Together, we can create a ripple effect of kindness and support that extends far beyond financial contributions. Let’s show our community that we care in every way possible. ?? Remember 12th of each month, I encourage everyone to reach out to someone you served with in the military, or you know who you have not spoken to in a while, whether through a phone call, text, email, or in person. And remember????It is about God. ?It is About Family. ????? its about you and finding your tribe Ted Hacker Kristin Walt Caroline K.M. Smith Mark “Hurricane” Haliburton ??????? We often talk about helping others and making a positive impact in the world, yet fail to apply these values at home. We encourage donations, but negotiate every penny with the vegetable vendor or rickshaw driver, or question our spouse about minor expenses. We tell ourselves to be kind, yet sometimes lose patience and show anger toward our children, our husband, or our wife. We may go to temples, mosques, and gurudwaras, doing seva as a symbol of service, but overlook the importance of helping within our own homes, leaving household chores to our partner without offering support. We say we’re against violence, yet lose control with our loved ones, raising our voice or even our hand, expecting obedience but forgetting respect. It’s easy to preach kindness, generosity, and compassion, but how often do we practice it in our most personal spaces? True change must start within. Imagine the difference if, instead of only speaking these values, we lived them out daily. Begin by supporting your partner, speaking kindly to your children, and being fair with everyone you encounter. Teach kindness by example, showing your family what it means to be understanding and patient. Real transformation doesn’t come from grand gestures alone but from small, consistent acts of integrity at home. When we embody these values within our families, we inspire others to do the same, creating a ripple effect that can change the world. . . #LeadByExample #ChangeStartsAtHome #ValuesInAction #EmpathyInAction #FamilyFirst #IntegrityMatters #PracticeWhatYouPreach #SmallActsBigImpact #KindnessStartsWithUs #BuildABetterWorld #BeTheChange #MindfulLiving #RespectAndSupport #EmpowerThroughKindness

Today is World Kindness Day! In Recovery, we often say, “We keep what we have only by giving it away,” Today is a day to reach beyond ourselves and focus on the small gestures of kindness for others. Whether it be bringing a friend a coffee, donating it to a food pantry, posting anonymous sticky notes with uplifting messages around for people to find, sending an encouraging text to someone, letting a car into the traffic ahead of you, or putting away the chairs at your homegroup, make time to do something for someone else “just because.” "Courtesy, kindness, justice, and love are the keynotes by which we may come into harmony with practically anybody." -- Step Ten, 12 Steps and 12 Traditions. Pray for the Palisades: A Time to Reflect, Support, and Come Together The fires in the Palisades are a devastating reminder of how fragile life can be. In an instant, homes, memories, and a sense of safety can be lost. While some will rebuild, the emotional toll and the irreplaceable moments tied to those homes cannot be recovered. This is a moment for all of us to pause and reflect. No matter how much or how little we think we have, we should be grateful for what we hold dear. And beyond gratitude, let’s come together to support those impacted by this tragedy. If you’re looking for ways to help, consider donating to local relief efforts, supporting organizations assisting affected families, or simply sharing resources to spread awareness. Every gesture counts. For those of us in New York, this level of devastation echoes the loss and unity we felt during 9/11. We learned then that community can carry us through even the darkest times. Let’s rally for California now. Pray for the Palisades. Pray for California. Together, we can make a difference. #PrayForCalifornia #PalisadesFire #SupportAndUnity

Right now, my heart is with Los Angeles as wildfires sweep through the area, threatening lives, homes, and dreams. The devastation is unimaginable, and as we pray for the people of LA, let’s also reflect on how we can help. Years ago, my family and I faced a terrifying night when a fire broke out in our home. I’ll never forget the chaos, fear, and confusion as my mother and I struggled to breathe and find our way to safety. It was my neighbors who came to our rescue, selflessly pulling us out of danger and working tirelessly to contain the flames. Their kindness saved us. They offered comfort, water, and even a place to sleep that night. The memory of their actions fills me with gratitude to this day—and it reminds me of the power of community in times of crisis. Now, as the people of LA face their own dark and terrifying nights, they need that same spirit of collective action and support. Here’s how we can help: Donate: Support trusted organizations providing relief to displaced families and first responders. Spread Awareness: Share resources and ways to help in your community and online. Volunteer: If you’re local, join efforts to assist those in need. Just as my neighbors once came together for my family, we have the opportunity to stand with the people of LA. They are counting on us. Let’s turn our prayers into action. Like many of you, I have been watching the devastation of the widespread fires unfold in California. It is an unimaginable tragedy that will affect these towns and communities for decades as they work to rebuild. And, as one reporter said, "this will be the fire that people tell their grandchildren and great grandchildren about. It will reshape Los Angeles forever." Yesterday, while at a restaurant, I overheard a couple talking about the fires. One of the people said, "ahh they are just a bunch of rich celebrities that have enough money to rebuild anywhere they want." First, let's not be callous when any person has lost their home and, in many cases, watched everything they own go up in flames. Regardless of financial status - it is a significant loss plan and simple. While the media is focused on interviewing or showing the homes of celebrities that have been lost. Let's not forget entire communities will need to be rebuilt - this means schools, grocery stores, police departments, local restaurants, gas stations etc. Which in most cases are not owned or operated by celebrities - they are everyday people working to make a living for their families. There are many organizations that are working to help. If you feel inclined, please consider donating to one of the following organizations. #StayStrongLA American Red Cross The Salvation Army World Central Kitchen Airbnb California Fire Foundation Global Empowerment Mission Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation Baby2Baby Feeding America

???????? ???????????????? ??????????????, ???????????????? ?????????????? ???????? ???????? ????????... Thousands of people—of all walks of life—have lost their homes in the past week in Los Angeles, CA, and with the Santa Ana Winds picking up again, even more are at risk. Amid the devastation, there have been incredible acts of kindness: strangers opening their homes, Hollywood stars donating millions, volunteers working tirelessly in shelters and distribution centers, and countless others giving whatever they can to help. But heartbreakingly, there’s also been judgment. Some have criticized families for starting GoFundMe campaigns. Others have shamed those offering refuge to evacuees in other states. It’s easy to forget that these families—regardless of wealth or status—have lost everything. Many had their entire lives invested in their homes, and now, they’re starting over with nothing. ?????? ???? ?????? ???????? ???? ???????? ???????? ?????????? ????. It’s not the time for division. I recently came across an incredible LinkedIn article sharing resources for those affected by the fires, and I’m resharing it here: https://lnkd.in/eShy7SSM . If you know of additional resources, please drop them in the comments. Let’s come together, share what we can, and create a community of help. ?? #DisasterRelief #CommunityMatters #HelpingHands #WildfireRecovery

The outpouring of support for Los Angeles during these wildfires has been nothing short of inspiring. Our community is coming together in incredible ways—volunteers are stepping up, organizations are collecting donations, and people are offering resources to help those affected. As we continue to rally around those in need, it’s important to remember that the recovery goes beyond just immediate aid. Many families rely on the hospitality and event industries for their livelihoods, and the revenue from events held in Los Angeles plays a critical role in supporting them. If you're planning an event, please consider moving forward with it, be mindful response times may take a bit to get back to "normal" but cancellation shouldn't be the solution. Canceling events in L.A. can impact families who rely on these industries to put food on the table and rebuild their lives. Our city needs that revenue to help with long-term recovery. Let’s continue to show our strength and resilience, not only through acts of kindness but also by supporting the local economy. If you're looking for ways to volunteer or donate, please check in with local organizations for updated needs. Every bit counts! If we're personal friends, i've been reposting and posting multiple ways to take action via my Instagram (or please feel free to message me and I will point you to multiple organizations doing great work) 360 Destination Group #SupportLA #CommunityStrength #EventIndustry #RebuildLA #Hospitality #Volunteer
