A huge thank you to Samaritan's Purse for their indispensable support in making this possible. Through their Chinook helicopters, we've been able to transport fuel today into hard-to-reach mountain areas in 55-gallon drums, where it is critical for powering recovery efforts. Samaritan's Purse has been a vital partner in these operations, and their teamwork and dedication have ensured that families and first responders receive the fuel they desperately need. Fueling Asheville, NC: Mountain Deliveries and Community Support Today, our team had two critical fuel distributions underway. We loaded up the trucks and headed into the mountains to reach some of the hardest-hit and most remote areas near Asheville. Navigating steep roads and tough terrain, we delivered fuel directly to families who’ve been cut off from essential supplies. At the same time, our team was busy distributing fuel at the Western North Carolina Shopping Center, ensuring that those still in town had access to what they need to power their homes and generators. Whether up in the mountains or here on the ground, we’re working nonstop to make sure fuel gets to everyone who needs it. In the past three days, Fuel Relief Fund has given out almost 16,000 gallons to 1,600 families in Asheville, NC! You can help keep this mission going! Fuel Relief Fund Delivers Critical Fuel to North Carolina's Hardest-Hit Areas Fuel Relief Fund (FRF), in collaboration with the North Carolina National Guard and a coalition of NGOs, is delivering essential fuel to remote and disaster-affected mountain communities north and east of Asheville. Thanks to partnerships with organizations like Medicorps, 1,500 gallons of fuel in 5-gallon containers are already enroute to these areas, where access is difficult. The North Carolina National Guard is transporting the fuel to the staging area at the Harley Davidson Dealership and from there, using a combination of trucks, helicopters, and ATVs, they are ensuring the fuel reaches even the most isolated locations. Fuel Relief Fund remains dedicated to providing essential fuel to communities in crisis, and this mission exemplifies our commitment to serving those who are the hardest to reach. Fuel Relief Fund is Providing Free Fuel in Asheville, NC! Fuel Relief Fund (FRF) is on the ground in Asheville, North Carolina, providing free fuel to those affected by the recent disaster. We are offering 10 gallons of fuel per vehicle, available to the public.
