Job Summary: QA Engineer with both manual and automation experience for new and existing development projects in a fast-paced, agile environment. The ratio of manual testing will be higher initially; however, the goal is to automate most all the manual testing. A successful candidate will have a long-term vision and the ability to plan and execute it. Core Responsibilities: Develop and execute test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and other testing-related documentation based on requirements and specifications. Quickly identify and test for functional edge cases outside of expected functionality and/or workflow. Interpret and implement quality assurance standards. Identify areas for improvement in the quality engineering structure. Plan, develop, execute, maintain, and improve Automated Test Frameworks and Automated Test Scripts for Web, Integration and Database applications. Work as part of a passionate agile team to ensure quality is driven into the heart of the development process from requirements definition through to delivery. Generating, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions Assist product support in the validation of potential issues and escalate promptly any issues that have a negative impact on the overall platform, product, or user experience. Assist in the deployment of all code released to our production environment. Core Competencies: 8+ years Extensive Manual testing experience. Must be able to write test plans, test cases and other test artifacts. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of QA methodologies. 8+ years of proven experience using/building automation testing frameworks with tools like Playwright or Selenium. Experience with AP| testing tools like Postman or Fiddler. Must be able to write SQL queries. Must be able to prepare test data for manual and automated test cases. Experience in performance testing is a plus. Experience working in a cloud-based environment, such as Azure or AWS is a plus. Excellent communications and people skills. Culture-fit/Characteristics Focused and self-driven: able to take on high-level and/or ambiguous assignments, break them down into do-able steps, ask the right question, set realistic expectations, and drive for results. A cooperative team-player that leads pro-actively through reason and respect for the viewpoints and experiences of others. Creative problem solver who can work in a fast-paced. More then... ? I know it may sound a little cliché, but let's face it. When we look for a job, we look for more than just the job itself.? Ever since AI became widely known, there has been ongoing debate about jobs being taken over by AI and concerns about tech professionals becoming obsolete. My take on this has always been that only those who merely use amd treat the tools and thier master without deeper understanding are at risk of being replaced. Even these individuals will remain relevant for a significant time. However, those who understand the principles, techniques, and the reasoning behind the processes can and will never be replaced, and this right below is the perfect example for that.
