We’ve all been there.... reaching into the pantry for that loaf of bread, wondering how it still feels soft and fresh days later. Or biting into a crunchy apple that seems to have defied time. Ever thought about the science behind that? Turns out, the secret isn’t just in your fridge or pantry tricks, it's a little thing called technology. And guess what? Sprays are playing a huge role in this game! Yep, you heard that right. These food-safe sprays aren’t just some lab invention, they’re designed to work in harmony with your favorite foods to keep them tasting like they were just made. just Imagine that fresh-from-the-oven taste, or biting into fruits that are still as crisp and juicy as the day you bought them. Here’s where it gets even more interesting.. This technology isn’t just about shelf life. It’s about preserving the flavor, texture, and experience we all crave. And let’s be real.... who doesn’t love biting into a sandwich with bread that feels freshly baked? What’s next for food preservation? There’s a lot more to come, but trust us, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how far these innovations will go. The future of fresh might just be around the corner…

Hello, Have you been asked this question: "Why did you purchase that product?" And may be the answer was: "Because it was organic, had my favorite spices, and had a tempting look." "But how do we know that it had all these features?" "I guess because it was all described on its package, right?" "Yes, so #packaging is a form of communication between the consumer and the #product. It's like a door that allows us to look inside and decide on the product." "Do you also get ideas from packaging? ??Self-Heating Food Packaging?? Advancements in technology have set new traditions. In all of this, food packaging is not left behind either. Functional and attractive food packaging can offer many advantages. One of the main advantages of self-heating packaging is that you can store raw food in it, which you can then freeze until the need arises. Even when the freezing option is unavailable, the heat insulator layer on the outside prevents any heat from entering the packaging and getting to the food. This enables the food to remain fresh for extended periods without getting stale and expired! What do you think about this? ThePackHub has reported on self-heating drink/ liquid food packaging in the past, but not for solid food/meals. Whilst this is an interesting concept; it does raise significant sustainability concerns. The environmental impact of single-use heating components is hard to ignore, and I can’t help but question the effectiveness of the heating process—will the food really be heated evenly and adequately? What do you think? #packaging

WE'VE GOT NEWS??? ?? ? Over the last year we’ve been working hard to roll out a lot of changes, and a brand new look for IMPOSSIBREW?. So in a very particular, and highly curated order, here they are. 1) LOOK??? Same great taste. Brand new look. Hearing everyone's feedback on our packaging over the last 3 years, we’ve stripped it back to only include what’s important. We hope that you now feel just as good about what’s on the outside as what’s on the inside. These new cans feel incredibly special in person, and we're very excited to finally be getting them out. 2) LABS?? More beer. More often. We’ve had huge support for our Limited Edition beers. So, we’ll be brewing more of them, more often. That means a new Limited Edition beer every 3 months. And due to high demand, each new release will be available for a couple of months, instead of a couple of hours. And, soon to launch, IMPOSSIBREW? Labs Edition: Our brand new series of ultra-low-volume prototype beverages (even beyond beer). Designed to remind us that after all, even without alcohol, drinking is meant to be a lot of fun. 3) LESS PLASTIC?? Less waste. More recyclable. We’ve now moved the packaging of most of our beers away from labels to fully plastic-free printed cans. We’ve also removed any traces of plastic from our delivery packaging materials. The operations team have been working through a lot of different solutions to make this happen. But it’s all worthwhile to be making big strides in the right direction to create the future of beer - in more ways than one. And as a bonus, our new printed cans feel way nicer to drink from... LOOKING FORWARD ? Over the last year we’ve been working hard to roll these changes out, and we hope that you’re just as excited by our brand new look as we are. Over the coming 6 months, expect 2 new Limited Edition beers, as well as the release of IMPOSSIBREW? Labs Edition #001. Head over to the site to check out our new cans. Now ready to be enjoyed in-person.

This is an interesting article on the impact of fermentation on coffee taste profiles. Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) can help determine the geographic origin of coffee, but I wonder if it could help us understand the impact of fermentation on flavor profiles. An innovative group of Harvard students developed a concept for using NIRS on Yemeni coffee production to certify origin. USAID funded research through the Borlaugh Institute World Coffee Research Center at Texas A&M to assess this approach. Could this technology also map cup profiles according to origin and fermentation method? Anda Greeney Al Mokha
