Worldsensing participated in the EU Project ICOS plenary meeting which took place at SSE Airtricity offices in Dublin, Ireland. In the last year of the project, ICOS will validate its meta-operating system for a #continuum #edgetocloud with real Use Cases. Worldsensing is involved in the system validation Use Case for monitoring of #railway infrastructure with the Catalan rail operator Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya. Hosted on 4th December in Brussels, this event will feature six roundtable discussions where experts, industry leaders, researchers, and institutional stakeholders will address technological and regulatory challenges in deploying Cooperative, Connected, and Automated Mobility (CCAM). New publication!?We are?excited?to announce the?release of?the?Multimodal Traffic Management Cluster Roadmap for 2030 and beyond, a collaborative effort within the?Multimodal Traffic Management Cluster,?result?of a powerful collaboration among seven Horizon Europe projects:?FRONTIER EU Project,?Orchestra2020,?TANGENT Project,?DIT4TraM Project,?SYNCHROMODE Project,?DELPHI_EU project, and?ACUMEN Project. This groundbreaking roadmap?sets forth a comprehensive strategic vision to transform Europe’s transport networks into multimodal, sustainable, and resilient systems, aligning with EU climate neutrality and resilience goals and preparing the transport sector for future challenges and opportunities. The roadmap focuses on three main inter-related areas: a) Technologies and Services, b) Data, and c) Policies, each of which is critical for achieving a seamless, efficient, and resilient multimodal transport system by 2030 and beyond. ? Our?very own?Babis Magoutas?had the honor of co-authoring?the?roadmap?in which the results of FrontierInnovations work in the context of the?FRONTIER EU Project?with respect to advanced ICT tools assisting next generation MTM, have been?highlighted. These include an?Autonomous Network and Traffic Management Engine (ANTME),?the?FRONTIER?network and traffic visualisation dashboardenabling multistakeholder common situational awareness and collaboration thought incident detection, response plan selection and monitoring functionalities?and the FRONTIER?Citynaut mobile?app?offering a range of services including a journey planner and updates from the network’s response plan generator to enhance urban navigation and act as a demand management tool incorporating travellers in the response plans. ? Exciting date for ULTIMO project! Last week we were invited to participate at a High Level Dialogue on Connected and Automated Driving (CCAM) in Ghent, Belgium together with the SHOW project. We presented research findings on why and how automated vehicles could change the transport system to participants of the European countries, representatives of the European Commission and industry. At the conference, the member states signed also CCAM commitments and issued a call to action to the industry and the European Commission. Our 2nd in-depth piece about the European Commission #DestinationEarth #ClimateChangeAdaptationDigitalTwin describes the significant advances made over the past 20 months to develop this innovative climate information system by our partners from 13 leading climate, supercomputing, weather centers and academia, coordinated by CSC - IT Center for Science, in close collaboration with us at #ECMWF. The stunning visuals made from the first multi-decadal simulations at km-scale performed on EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) LUMI supercomputer illustrate the level of detail from global to regional scale captured by the storm-resolving and eddy-rich models underpinning the #ClimateDT.

We all know that Demand-Responsive-Transport (#drt) is gaining momentum; BUT, still, how to build the service from scratch? How to enhance the current service? As DREAM_PACE we prepared a report “Development scenarios for DRT innovative digital and operational approaches” in which we present the stages of #drt scenarios for each of the project′s pilots (Pavia - Oltrepo, Budapest, Osttirol and Split-Dalmatia County) Full text of the report is available at https://lnkd.in/ebYb-U7x Methodologically, we worked in gathering information on the process, then defined the concept of strategy development, composing scenarios and scenario evaluation. Ultimately, one scenario per pilot has been selected or newly composed, which will undergo further refinement through a co-design process involving the LLs’ partners and stakeholders. The initial motivation was to broaden its applicability to airspace-constrained terminal areas. ?
