Brandsmiths are delighted to have acted for Anthony Serafino on his investment in Bromley Football Club. This represents the US-based businessman's first investment into the European football market. US investment in European football, in particular in England, has grown exponentially over the last few years. The team were lead by Partners David Seligman, Adam Morallee and Jacob O'Brien as well as support from Hamish MacInnes, Mollie Lambert and Courtney Bryan-Isaacs. Trivela Group, is set to acquire an 80% stake in Silkeborg IF, one of Denmark’s most respected football clubs. This move further solidifies Trivela’s global football portfolio, which already includes Walsall FC (England), Drogheda United (Ireland), and Trivela FC Togo (Togo). Founded in 1917, Silkeborg IF has a rich history in Danish football. The club achieved top-tier status in 1987 and boasts notable accolades, including the Danish Superliga title (1993-94), two Danish Cup victories (2001, 2024), and a UEFA Intertoto Cup win (1996). Currently ranked fourth in the Danish Superliga, Silkeborg are reigning Danish Cup champions, a testament to their consistent competitiveness. Trivela Group’s acquisition of Silkeborg IF represents a strategic move to deepen its influence in European football. According to Managing Director Ben Boycott, Silkeborg’s strong financial foundation, expert management, and academy success make it an ideal addition. The acquisition is expected to bring mutual benefits across Trivela’s network, including player exchanges, career pathways for staff, shared sponsorship deals, and enhanced fan engagement. Although financial details remain undisclosed, Silkeborg IF’s parent company, Silkeborg IF Invest A/S, is publicly traded on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange, with a market value of approximately 295 million DKK. Shareholder approval will be sought at an extraordinary general meeting in December 2024 to finalise the deal. Silkeborg IF has recently ventured beyond football, acquiring the Papirfabrikken Radisson Blu hotel, highlighting its ambitions in business diversification. This innovative approach aligns with Trivela Group’s commitment to creating sustainable, community-focused football models. Trivela’s expansion into Denmark underscores the growing trend of multi-club ownership, where shared resources and strategies drive success both on and off the pitch. With Silkeborg’s expertise in player development and operational efficiencies, the acquisition strengthens Trivela’s goal of reshaping modern football ownership. Trivela leaders, including Ben Boycott and Walsall CEO Ben Sadler, are set to address fans with a video update on the acquisition's implications for Walsall FC and the broader Trivela network. As football becomes increasingly interconnected, Trivela’s move into Denmark highlights the potential of multi-club ownership to redefine the game globally. This acquisition is more than just a business deal; it’s a statement of intent.
