Canary Wharf looks lovely in the sunshine (although there was more of that over the weekend than there is now!).?When you're not inspired by your role, however, it can seem like an island marooned from real life and the things that really matter to you. ? It doesn't have to stay that way.?Many high-achieving technologists hit points where staying fully engaged at work becomes difficult.?After all, you thrive on constant learning and change, but corporations often keep individuals in a role for their expertise even though they're are learning less. ? I remember how that used to feel.?What do you notice as you approach Canary Wharf (or wherever you are based):?what are you looking forward to in your day, and what makes your heart sink? ? If there's more of the sinking feeling, it may be time to assess your options for learning new skills and building a fulfilling career. There are many tools available to help you along the way; if you'd like a guide by your side message me and we can chat. #womenintech #techleadership

Like any job, the role of the Development Manager can look a little different depending on the needs of the business and the project, and the unique skillset of the individual. That's why we asked the talented Cristina Leggett for her take on what it means to be successful in this space. With a background in town planning, Cristina shares her tips for what it takes to successfully transition from an adjacent field, and the core capabilities she thinks make a successful DM. #propertydevelopment #careers #careerdevelopment

I always enjoy watching other agencies lurk on your website, and wondering whether it's leaders wondering how to beat you, or team members looking for new opportunities where they don't have to cry in the parking lot before work. One thing that I am always grateful for at Boldsquare is that we play nicely with other organizations. For us to succeed, we know that other agencies don't have to lose (no more than anyone else at least...). We work in partnership with different groups at many of our clients, and we're always happy to share our thinking, give credit where it's due, or recognize when a project might be more suitable for another team. Put simply, a rising tide lifts all boats. When our clients win, all of us who work with them win. And clients winning is the most important thing. So let's make 2024 a year of partnerships, not rivalries. There's plenty of work to be done, talent to be grown, connections to be made. Let's go do this.

Today is National Bucket List Day! What is on YOUR bucket list? I love to hear about people's dreams and goals. My opinion is, you are either growing or you are dying so get out there and set some goals (even small ones!!) and accomplish them! On my bucket list for this year is to go to Boston to see our new hub and meet my leader's new baby (LOVE CHUNKY BABIES). Maybe those are goals, not bucket list? Anyway, every day I get to ask candidates "what do you want to be doing"? and that's my favorite question. We want to push our consultants to help create their own career path and we are pretty darn good at it! #MIGSOPCUBED? #MoreThanJustAJob? #ProjectManagement #JobOpportunities?

Co-founder at Volunteero. Helping voluntary organisations manage volunteers more effectively using technology ???? Save time, boost volunteer productivity and attract more volunteers all with one platform.
Being a founder means learning on the job! Before becoming a founder I had never hired or managed anyone... This is why it is such a proud moment when we celebrate a milestone like this... Josie Robinson just celebrated 2 years at Volunteero ?? ?? ?? The rule I learned about hiring from Josie is, it is all about attitude. Experience and skills do not count for much without an amazing attitude towards work. Whereas with the right attitude, someone can learn and grow into most roles. I kind of used a cheat code tbh as I did not post the role, and I did not take applications... I just offered Josie the job. Why? Josie was once a client and user of Volunteero. I was fortunate enough to see just how capable she was during our early working relationship. Josie is a grafter, incredibly competent and has a way with people most of us could only wish to have. But what always struck me was the attitude she had towards work and life as a whole. You could always tell that Josie just always wanted to learn, grow and improve and it is infectious. When we needed to hire our first customer success manager, I knew Josie was the person for the job. As a founder you are always learning on the job and boy do I have a lot to learn about hiring and managing people. But I am thankful to Josie for inadvertently teaching me that one rule that will always be at the core of how we hire... attitude, attitude, attitude. And this is demonstrated by all the legends that have followed Jose... ??Mushka Cohen-Gluck, James Bateman, Jennifer Mars #hiring #founder #founderstories

Project Manager | Secret Squirrel ??? | Phantom Works | Turning Engineering Dreams Into Tangible Realities | Veteran | ?? ?????????
A Project that Tested Us, But Filled Us Too As I wrap up my career, I can’t help but think about one of the most challenging Projects I've ever had to manage (Middle East, Summer 2021). Every day brought long hours, shifting timelines, evolving risks, and resource juggling. It pushed my team physically and mentally, but the humanitarian impact made every hurdle worth it. This project, while demanding, proved the incredible power of collaboration and resilience. Seeing my team come together, adapt constantly, and find solutions on the fly was truly inspiring. We learned valuable lessons in flexibility, communication, and resource management under pressure. Even during the toughest moments, the greater good we were working towards fueled our determination. Knowing that our efforts would positively impact lives fueled the drive to overcome every obstacle. This experience solidified my belief in the power of purposeful work. It might not always be easy, but the tangible impact can be incredibly rewarding. #challengingprojects #humanitarianwork #teamappreciation #resilience #projectmanagement #veteransupport #veteranshelpingveterans
