PEACE, ??????? & ?????? UN SECRETARY GENERAL António Guterres is a peacemaker. I stand with the people of Israel. Always have. Always will. All of the people of the Middle East need peace. All human beings have a right to exist. The refugees must be helped. The homeless sheltered, the injured care for and the hungry, fed. The hostages must be returned. The killing of innocent individuals must end. The dead must be properly buried. This criticism, while understood and noted, is not helpful. It's long past time that all involved in the current crisis return to the diplomacy table. War is temporary - but the damage and death - permanent. PEACE, SHALOM & ?????? https://lnkd.in/eqC2fmxg ###

The Human Cost of the Zionist Agenda and Greater Israel . The Creation of "Greater Israel" Forecast. In pursuit of creating a "Greater Israel," the alliance between the United States and Israel embarks on an aggressive expansionist campaign across the Middle East. This initiative, fueled by an increasingly hawkish Israeli government and unwavering U.S. support, aims to redraw the regional borders, extending Israel's reach far beyond its current territory. This expansion includes parts of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Iraq, justified under the guise of securing Israeli security interests and eradicating so-called threats. The Human Cost To achieve this vision, the U.S. commits significant military resources, deploying thousands of American soldiers to fight on behalf of Israel. The campaign is marked by intense and brutal warfare, resulting in the loss of thousands of U.S. soldiers' lives. Simultaneously, Israeli forces, with American backing, carry out extensive operations across the region, leveling entire cities and towns deemed as resistance strongholds. This effort leads to a catastrophic humanitarian crisis, with the estimated death toll reaching between 2 to 3 million civilians over the course of the conflict. The relentless airstrikes, drone attacks, and ground operations result in widespread destruction, displacing millions more. The region is left in ruins, with entire communities wiped out, creating a new wave of refugees that further destabilizes neighboring countries and exacerbates the global refugee crisis. Why Israel is "Occupying Power"? Because every war, that Israel won and obtained control over territory, The UN/World/USA/USSR brokered to be ended without any peace treaty. Peace treaty can lead to cession and or peace agreement, both desirable by Israel, and none acceptable by losing parties. Normally in such cases war just continues until it reachs the treaty or peace agreement, but in case of Israel the WEST demanded that war will be ended without ending the conflict. Jordan and Egypt managed to get to a peace agreement after war. Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and palestinians are not. So when the WEST says, that Israel is illegally occupying something it must also acknowledge that this is 50% WEST fault. Other 50% is palestinians. #occupation

“#Israel” seeks fast, hard wars, while its opponents seek slow-boiling, irregular wars of #attrition. Now, with the #resurgence of #resistance #ops in #Jabalia and #Gaza areas, “Israel” has #lost both the #field and the #war. The ground situation in Jabalia refugee camp, north of Gaza City, is more than merely a military clash between an invading force and resistance fighters fighting a “guerrilla war.” The deeper implication of the sudden battles that have sprung up in Gaza’s largest camp is that “Israel” is far more entangled than it wants to acknowledge, mirroring the #US experience in its #disastrous Vietnam #quagmire. Unlike the Ho Chi Minh Trail in #Vietnam, however, Gaza is a flat strip of land that lacks crossings, mountain passes, or forests for the resistance to move personnel and weapons with ease across swathes of terrain. #Egypt, which shares the #Rafah Crossing with Gaza, has distanced itself from the Strip, and Gazans share no other borders with the outside world. The resurgence of resistance in Jabalia, in fierce battles that have caught the Israeli army off guard, therefore, points to what some may call a ‘#miracle.’ https://lnkd.in/d3zwSTmE

Bearing Up, Bearing Witness Israel's genocide of Palestinians is far from the only one happening right now. The RPF in Sudan is indiscriminately targeting civilians and infrastructure, including hospitals. The Rohingya are being cornered, starved, and slaughtered in Myanmar. Also, up to 90% of that nation is now controlled by resistance to the military junta. Ethiopia continues its communal wars against several peoples in that very diversely populated land, now the war with Tigray has been replaced by a tense, uneasy peace. Rwanda's Kagame continues to sponsor and lowkey engage in a war on the peoples of eastern DRC (Congo-Kinshasa). Added to all the above is the violent, often lethal suppression of peoples in Tibet (by China), West Papua (Indonesia), Western Sahara (Morocco)… I could go on, but the list is long and I'm sure you get the picture; but what's my point? Simply this: I know how painful and exhausting the news is. But imagine how it is for people living through these traumas. Please, take time out and allow yourself grace every so often. But then, please bear witness. Just the simple act of doing so makes a difference. #NoneOfUsAreFreeUntilAllOfUsAreFree

Interesting declaration. Peace?enforcement under the UN mandate to stop the crisis in Gaza and ensure humanitarian aid reaches where it is supposed to go while shielding Israel from attacks seems like a logical and humane idea. In fact, why not also in Ukraine and Armenia? Would that not help de-escalate the current conflicts and motivate the parties to reach some form of agreement? Would it not also be a cheaper solution compared to what has been spent until now in both wars in military aid and cost in human life? https://lnkd.in/dzt5nnRE

On May 15, 1948, following its declaration of independence, Israel was attacked by Transjordan, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon, marking the beginning of the Arab-Israeli War. The attack was a culmination of escalating tensions fueled by conflicting territorial claims, historical grievances, and the failure to reach a peaceful resolution through diplomatic means. The Arab-Israeli War of 1948-1949 resulted in human suffering, with hundreds of thousands of Palestinians fleeing or being displaced from their homes, while Jewish communities faced attacks and hardship. The conflict also saw the involvement of foreign powers, exacerbating tensions and further complicating efforts to achieve a lasting peace. The events of May 15, 1948, serve as a stark reminder of the deep-seated divisions and unresolved issues that continue to plague the region, underscoring the urgent need for dialogue, reconciliation, and a comprehensive resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. #todayinhistory #thisdayinhistory #history #globalpoliticsaffairs

My latest analysis with Militia Spotlight at The Washington Institute For Near East Policy exploring the strategic development of Arab tribal militias in Eastern Syria. Drawing from the model established in Aleppo, these militias are now backed by new IRGC-funded initiatives across social, economic, and administrative fronts. This piece provides a comprehensive look at the geopolitical implications of these movements and what it means for regional stability.
