‘Swing your swing’. Had to share Patrick’s post, firstly for the epic swings! (video below). ?? I’d love to bring ‘The Gilmore’ into my game! ?? But I mainly wanted to share it for the message. ‘Swing your swing’ is part of a fuller quote by the legendary Arnold Palmer. "Swing your swing. Not some idea of a swing. Not a swing you saw on TV. Not that swing you wish you had. Capable of greatness. Prized only by you. Perfect in its imperfection. Swing your swing. I know, I did." That’s such a great lesson for golf or any sports skill. Create what suits you. ?? But I also think this idea can be applied to our thinking and so many other areas of our lives. How often are we shown and told about the successes of top leaders, top business folk, top (fill in the blanks)? Then we’re given the ‘10 step’ process to help you get there too. Has it worked? Now, don’t get me wrong, I really do believe, Success Leaves Clues. ?? But everyone is truly different and has different qualities, skills and characteristics. If we copy Alex Hormozi or Sara Davies, we’ll only ever be imitations of Alex Hormozi and Sara Davies. They’ll always be the top ‘them’. ?? For me, I believe the more we delve in and discover our best skills, our top traits, our USPs, the more we understand how we are meant to stand out. You can give 10 people the same outcome to achieve and the top achievers will look at that outcome and say to themselves ‘How can I do this differently? What have I got in me that will make this great?’ So, what makes you great? What qualities do you already know? ?? Why did you post a longer & more in-depth video? Won't it get less views? While views is an important metric to monitor a video's success, its also important to understand viewership relative to the content's purpose. Our engaging fast paced mixtapes often result in many impressions, but nowadays you rarely make a sale off just one view (takes 10+ touch points). Its crucial to serve the customer at every touch point via incredible content. Take this video for example. We saw that the POV shot was an engaging scroll stopper (via a previous post) , and our goal within this content was to serve the viewer an authentic look into the Golf Daddy 'At Home' experience. So, we combined an engaging scroll stopper with a detailed video. Ideally for a customer that has seen our product before, but wanted to learn a bit more about the play experience. While this post didn't go viral, it did ~100k views. Thats 100k people that now have a much deeper relationship to the experience of the Golf Daddy 'At Home'. Take away for myself and fellow marketers: Viewership should be measured in relation to the content's purpose.
