We are immensely thankful for the incredible team here at FPOV?? Earlier this week, we brought the team together to celebrate all that we are thankful for going into this holiday season. We kicked off the celebrations at an OKC Thunder Game on Monday and wrapped things up with a company dinner at the newly opened Capital Grille in Oklahoma City. As we celebrated together, we couldn’t help but reflect on the incredible year we’ve had. Every member of our team brings passion, dedication, and a shared commitment to serve and support the organizations we work with. We’re constantly inspired by one another and the clients we’re fortunate to serve. Here’s to our amazing team, our supportive clients, and a New Year full of innovation, growth, and shared success! ??

Sometimes just taking a deep breath and engaging in our playful sides is exactly what we need to reset and reengage in news ways in the business. Love this reminder Hayley that laughter, creativity, teamwork, and play can have a significant impact on our connections and our joy. #wellness #joy #teamwork #impact #BusinessPerformance
One of Transcend's team commitments is "Joy," and I truly experienced that during our Tri-annual meeting earlier this month. Jaci, Kevin, and Mike organized a scavenger hunt that included rollerblading, a gondola ride over Spokane Falls, and a merry-go-round ride - and those were just the first three stops! It was a fantastic reminder to embrace joy in everything we do… which is even sweeter when your team wins the competition! Special shout-out to Craig, Makenzie, and Kevin for that. ?? Here’s to more fun and memorable moments.

More doors closing in retail and the people affected are staying positive and making the most of their time with each other ?? That's what a retail family is all about. ?Please support the store managers, district managers, supervisors and the staff looking for work across the country. Your retail skills are valuable and absolutely transferable into almost any field. ?For anyone hiring here is a day in the life....You talk to anyone who comes in. ?You watch the KPIs and coach the staff to drive performance. You teach life skills to entry level employees and hold accountable grown adults. ?You multi-task like you have a legion of people in the building while really managing payroll to the quarter hour. ?You have difficult conversations and console your people with every day struggles in and out of work. ?You havetalk professionally and without judgment to individuals who lost their mind over a policy you can't change. You keep the place clean and visually gorgeous every day. ?And you do it all with a smile and an earpiece on. ?I see you. ?I support you. I am here if you want to comment, complain, or cry. ?That's what family is for. It is all about our people.?#retail?#love?#thestruggleisreal?#hiring?
We got the news on Wednesday that our location is closing. I have to be honest I’m still in that denial stage… but the first thing that came to my mind was “ omg my people ! “ and how I was going to break down this news to them. It hasn’t been easy but my team and I came together and we decided we are going to make the best of it. We are going to celebrate all the small wins from now til our doors close and cherish all our moments together??

Today is A level exam result day in the UK. This will bring stress and anxiety to a lot of young adults. Catastrophising that their future is doomed, comparing themselves to peers and fear of bringing shame on families. Some of these people will have support networks around them, some won't. As business leaders we need to make this very clear, their future is not doomed, no matter what the result. We can reach out and help young people by providing a listening ear, guidance and finding that diamond within everyone worth polishing and shining. Suicide has affected and impacted my life. I have lost close family and friends to feeling like there's no way out. There is always a way out. Today, tensions and stress will be heightened. Be aware, be kind and be supportive of the people who are around you. Exam results do not define us. We are more than numbers and letters on a piece of paper.
We had the best time at Flackstock last week ?? It's such a special event and we're feeling really grateful to be part of it for the third year running. Thank you to everyone who came along to support and made the day so incredible. ??

I have to be honest. When Phil Peters & Alex Townson pitched the concept of #OpsFest to me last year I looked at them, laughed and then changed the subject. Not because I didn't understand the pitch. It made perfect sense: ??Ops teams don't get as many opportunities to network ??Ops teams don't have as strong relationships across brands ??Ops is very technical and often brands do not have the level of capability in-house needed to deliver on promises ??Ops is the place that collaboration is easiest and potentially most valuable I actually laughed at the name: OpsFest. But like all good operations folks, they didn't wait for approval to do something they knew was valuable. So next week OpsFest is happening at the Candy Kittens HQ. Curated by supply chain specialists, for supply chain teams, about things pertinent to supply chains in challenger brands. Exclusively for our community members. ??Retailer supply ??AI? ??EPR? and more. Our supply chain team have come up with the logo, the agenda, the speakers, and (for their sins at times) all of the comms. As a result, it might look a little different to other events put on by YF but it's guaranteed to be valuable. Well done team. Can't wait #90sband #networking #entrepreneurship

Decided OpsFest needed more of a Festival vibe... Now you can do that Glastonbury thing where you gawk over the incredible lineup (and the fellow pro's in the room) whilst trying to decide what sets - I mean sessions - you can't afford to miss. Not long to go now. See you on 8 October. What are you looking forward to the most?! ---------- ? Repost if you can't wait for OpsFest 2024 or if you're suffering from absolute FOMO and follow me if you want to hear more. ?? Congratulations #MachineGames, #Bethesda, and #Xbox! I'm very happy to see Indiana Jones and the Great Circle come out. It has been a long journey for Indy. Machine Games is getting better and better with each release. And they look to be the perfect developer for Indy. I hope this is the first of several Indiana Jones adventures from Machine Games. Remember, the MachineGames folks who came from StarBreeze worked on the fantastic Chronicles of Riddick and The Darkness games back in the day. There is a fantastic lineage of experience and play from The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay (2004), The Darkness (2007), and The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (2009) to Wolfenstein: The New Order (2014), The Old Blood (2015), The New Colossus (2017), and Young Blood (2019) to the just released Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (2024). There is both individual and studio learning across two decades of First Person Adventures that gets us to from Chronicles of Riddick to The Darkness to Wolfenstein to Indiana Jones. This is game history in motion. Back in 2009 I almost went to LucasArts for the last Indiana Jones that LucasArts almost made. This was before Disney bought the six Lucas companies in 2012 for $4 billion. When that Indy was canceled in 2009, I instead went to id Software. At id Software I saw the care and attention that Machine Games had for Wolfenstein, while we worked on Rage & Doom. I also released Wolfenstein on Mobile and back onto consoles. Meanwhile MachineGames labored on Wolfenstein for over a decade putting out fantastic new Wolfenstein games to complement the classic. So yeah, if I can't make Indy, I'm happy that MachineGames is. I've seen and played MachineGames' work, directly and indirectly, for a long time. MachineGames is a fantastic steward for Indiana Jones in First Person Adventures. I hope that Indy and MachineGames have a rich and entangled future for a decade to come. I want to play the games they'll make. I have loved Indiana Jones since I was a kid. So I'm happy to inhabit Indy through a First Person window via the development wizardry, expertise, love, care, and craft from MachineGames. ps. As a former Looking Glass and id Software game designer I am so happy that Indiana Jones is a first person adventure. pps. Make good games to build good developers to make great studios to make great games. #indianajones #microsoft #xbox #gamepass #bethesda #machinegames

This past weekend, I had the privilege of working at Nashville Oktoberfest once again, representing Nashville Soft Pretzel Co., LLC in the NSPC tent. This marks my third (or maybe fourth!) year contributing to this amazing event, and each year brings new opportunities for growth. In 2023, I transitioned to the production side, where I learned to carefully weigh fresh pretzel dough into 3 or 4 oz increments quickly and efficiently. But this year, I made it a point to learn even more. By shadowing the people who typically run other stations, I picked up new skills and became more versatile in helping out where needed. Our fearless leader, Vincent Dreffs, knows exactly where our strengths lie, and I’m grateful for the chance to expand mine. One thing that makes this team special is how dedicated we all are. A handful of Vince’s family members even fly down from Michigan to work the tent every year—that’s how much this means to us (and how wonderful of a leader he is)! We had no new faces this year, which was reassuring, as everyone knew their roles and was ready to dive back in. The experience felt like clockwork, thanks to this seasoned group of hard-working individuals including Abby Harris, Zach Anderson (BS-Guitar) and Ashley Guastella! This event allows me to hone my Process Improvement skills. Whether it’s in an office or at a festival, my ability to spot inefficiencies and step in to make things run smoother is something I take pride in. When I had a moment to rest, I’d check our stock or see if the service area needed anything. If my coworkers needed a hand, or a station was getting behind, I jumped in wherever I could. As one of our leaders pointed out, learning how to assist with other stations was a huge asset this year, and being adaptable helped the whole operation run more efficiently. I’m proud of what we accomplished, and I can’t wait for next year! ???? #NashvilleOktoberfest #Teamwork #Leadership #ProcessImprovement #Adaptability #Tradition #ProjectManagement
