True craft is still lacking in a lot of non alcoholic drinks (outside of beer) We talk about it at Botivo Drinks A LOT because it’s a major differentiator. Not because the craft process is a nice, authentic story but because it makes the BEST taste. For us, flavourings and essences just cannot replicate the flavour that a craft process, using real ingredients can create. Believe me Sam Paget Steavenson did try when creating Botivo, it just didn't cut it. An easy way to think about it is chicken stock. Bear with me…. You can buy a Knorr chicken stock cube and its good, you enjoy it. BUT you slow cook a chicken overnight and add fresh herbs, WOW that stock is going to be BANGING. A whole different level. Botivo is the homemade chicken stock :) We had a farm day on Monday (see video) to bring our wonderful stockists Ottolenghi Group and Granger & Co. to Lannock Farm (aka Botivo HQ). They visited us and our neighbours CROSSOVER BLENDERY. Why? Because it's the best way to show people WHY we taste different and that the non alcoholic category can be super craft.
