Two weeks ago, Colbar was in Medellín, hosted by Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. We welcomed the local legal community with a panel discussion on crucial legal issues. Our panel featured five powerhouse female lawyers: Maria T. Sallato, Florida Bar certified in family law with over 30 years of experience, discussed family implications for Colombian entrepreneurs relocating or operating in the USA. Pilar Rubio, a super lawyer with over 10 years of experience in tax law and estate planning, provided insights from personal and business perspectives. Laura Arboleda and Tiffany Escobar, experts in business and talent immigration, outlined federal law considerations for entrepreneurs and families planning to expand to the USA. Paula C. Arias FCiarb, a law professor at UM with over 20 years of experience in cross-border transactions and disputes, discussed key issues in corporate and commercial law for entrepreneurs thinking about expanding to or operating from the USA.
