Modern Job Market: Based on 8865 roles within California 7.2% - Internship (typically unpaid) 37.4% - Entry (typically minimum or slightly above without benefits): 6.6% - Associate (typically contractural, moderate pay without benefits): 43.8% - Senior (reasonable salary with benefits): 5.0% - Director / Executive (overpaid salary with quick retirement and short careers): Based on this data you are really screwed over if you are either mid or early career. This also begs the question; why are so few companies promoting their internal staff members to Senior and Managerial level roles? (probably because they will just leave these roles absentee creating gaps in managerial staffing which overall reduces company effectiveness to save a few nickels).
