Do your homework and be careful when choosing TM (Traditional Medicare) or a MA (Medicare Advantage) plan. While some MA plans promise some seemingly better coverage, they may not be better for you than Original or Traditional Medicare. Some key points with MA plans: PRIOR AUTHORIZATION - the insurance company can approve OR deny your request with MA plans INPATIENT REHAB STAY or SKILLED NURSING FACILITY CARE -You may be charged copayments during the first 20 days with MA plans PROVIDER ACCESS - providers are limited so you cannot see just any provider who accepts Medicare when you have a MA plan DENIALS OF CARE - these can occur after care is provided so you are responsible for the entire bill with MA plans HOME HEALTH CARE - both the care provider and the care itself requires preauthorization with MA plans More info below. https://lnkd.in/ee7CV-ET
