During International Roadcheck, inspectors will primarily conduct their routine?North American Standard Level I Inspection, which is a thorough 37-step procedure to verify commercial motor vehicle and driver safety and regulatory compliance. This is the last day of CVSA’s International Roadcheck. When a vehicle successfully passes a Level I or V Inspection without any critical vehicle inspection item violations, an inspector may apply a?CVSA decal?to the vehicle or combination of vehicles. A valid CVSA decal signals the vehicle has passed inspection within the past three months. Generally, vehicles displaying a valid CVSA decal won’t be re-inspected; however, nothing prevents?re-inspection?of a vehicle bearing a valid CVSA decal. If an inspector identifies driver and/or vehicle out-of-service violations, as outlined in the?North American Standard Out-of-Service Criteria, the vehicle and/or driver will be restricted from operating until all out-of-service violations have been properly addressed.

ADR Awareness Training - Half Day Course ADR Awareness training (as defined in ADR Section 1.3) is a legal requirement for all non-driving staff (and drivers below the "ADR Load Limits") who have any involvement in allowing Dangerous Goods to be transported by road. This course is for staff at all levels and roles – director, manager, packer, production director, personnel manager, delivery driver, laboratory technician, supervisor, and warehouse staff. With CVSA International Roadcheck starting next Tuesday, May 14, we'll be sharing our top tips for passing roadside inspections all week. ? We'll start with a big one: hours of service. During the driver portion of an inspection, inspectors will check hours-of-service documentation. We advise safety managers and drivers to make sure your electronic logging devices (ELDs) are working properly before Roadcheck 2024 begins. If they're not, you’ll need to report a malfunctioning device and have a copy of the user manual, instruction sheet, and a supply of blank “records of duty” sheets for drivers to use in each vehicle.
