Norway is developing the Rogfast, the world's longest and deepest underwater tunnel, which will open in 2033. It will connect Randaberg and Bokn for 16.5 miles beneath the sea, eliminating seven ferry crossings on the E39 route. The ￡1.6 billion project, located at a depth of 1,300 feet, will reduce travel time by 11 hours and increase coastal connectivity, however, a ￡30 toll levy will apply. It is part of a larger ￡36 billion upgrading initiative, funded by both taxpayers and tolls. Set to open in 2033, this 16-mile tunnel will go 1,300 feet below sea level, connecting Randaberg and Bokn in Rogaland.
