I am deeply humbled to announce my appointment to the Advisory Board of the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture . This incredible institution, nestled in the heart of the United States in Washington DC, serves as a global beacon for the richness and diversity of African art, history, and culture. As an African rooted in the dynamic heritage of our continent and the values that shaped me, this opportunity holds a profound meaning. It’s not just about celebrating African art—it’s about showcasing the power of our stories, our creativity, and our contributions to the global cultural landscape. This appointment is also a reminder of the power of community and support. My deepest gratitude goes to Teresa Clarke, Myma Belo-Osagie and John K. Lapiana for their guidance, encouragement and advocacy.
