I think it’s safe to say that tradeshow/event season is well under way (if it ever really ends). We’ve had a presence at four events so far this year–National Retail Federation, SMC3 Jumpstart, Manifest: The Future of Supply Chain & Logistics, and Westpack. We sell hardware and software, so we typically demo 2-3 physical products at small events, and 8-10 products at large shows (think Modex, ProMat, Pack Expo). I’m wondering what attendees think of product brochures and sales sheets. Do you actually want them? If you grab them, do you ever look at them again? Or does everything go in the trash on your way out? Feels like more and more people want to walk the shows without carrying around a big bag of sales info, but maybe I’m wrong.? As an event attendee (with actual interest in a solution), what do you want/expect from exhibitors when it comes to product information??
