If #PronePositioning doesn’t improve patient’s ventilation parameters and then you decide to support the patient by #ECMO. Would you still use prone positioning on ECMO ? Your thoughts in comments
Prone positioning on #ECMO for severe #ARDS?? ??PRO: conflicting literature data & not sufficient evidence to support routine application of PP, despite the sound pathophysiological rationale. However, if performed in experienced/highly specialized ECMO centers, PP is feasible & safe, and remains promising option in this population ?? https://rdcu.be/dGIMf ??CON: according to PRONECMO trial results, PP during #ECLS did not yield significant benefits vs supine position. Passing psychophysiological testing is a prerequisite for #nuclearpowerplant operators. I am amazed at how modern technologies allow us to automate this process by collecting data on emotional state, eye movement, changes in pulse or skin color.
