'Twas the night before Christmas at Symplicity HQ, The team had wrapped up their work, the year nearly through. The office was quiet, no phones to make a sound Technology should work for you, not the other way around. The laptops were closed on each workstation with care, While hopes for the new year filled the brisk winter air. The team had met, plans of action they did state, To make 2025 the best year to date! The employees all full of chocolate and treats, Grateful for teamwork, and a year full of feats. With goals and milestones all within sight, Symplicity’s future shines ever so bright! When out of the silence there arose such a sound, The buzz of new projects—solutions abound! With plans in the making and goals set so high, The Symplicity team aims for the sky! We loved hosting another sell-out ???????????? ?????????????????? ????????-???? last week ?? A great afternoon helping nearly 30 attendees boost their ???????? ???????????????? ????????????, with Koen Veltman from OrganizationBuilders! ?? We've been working closely with Koen the last few months to develop our own 'teamboosting' skills, both for our internal 7people ? team and to help level up our clients' teams. So we knew first-hand how impactful Koen's sessions can be, and were really excited to share his expertise with the wider community. ?? After all, understanding how teams can effectively connect and collaborate together, and nurture a thriving purpose and culture, are all invaluable business and people (not ???????? departmental 'People'!) skills to master. ?? It was a lively and interactive event, packed with fascinating insights, experiences and questions from the whole group. ?? We particularly loved the buzz around our office during the breakout sessions. Lots of small groups (armed with MANY colourful post-its ??) worked together to brainstorm and share their ideas for boosting their teams' ??????????, ????????????????????, ???????????????? ?????? ??????????????. (??.??.??.?? - ?????? ????? ??) ?????? ?????????????????? ???????????????? ???? ??????? The famously elusive Dutch summer! ?? Who knew excessive coffee consumption and a compulsive need to make small chit-chat in office could lead to an award? ?? Quarterly Recap 2024: Wrapping Up with Purpose and Play ?? At HiJiffy, our quarterly gatherings are more than just meetings—they’re moments to reflect, connect, and grow as a team. Every three months, we come together to review our achievements, plan for what’s ahead, and enjoy quality time with our colleagues. This year, we spent our quarterlies in Lisbon, Cascais, and évora, and what a time we had! Here’s a quick look at what we got up to: ?? Giving Back: In Lisbon, we volunteered at Banco Alimentar, helping at the food and clothing bank. Small efforts, big impact. ?? Keeping it Clean: Cascais brought us to the beach—not for sunbathing, but to do our part by cleaning up and giving back to the environment. ?? Team Bonding Games: From fun communication challenges to self-discovery activities, we strengthened our bonds in the best ways. ?? Lights, Camera, Action: Theatrics were a highlight! Teams created scripts and acted out their stories—creativity and laughter filled the room. It was a fantastic mix of purpose-driven activities, team bonding, and a lot of laughs. These moments remind us that we’re not just colleagues—we’re a team with shared goals and a shared sense of fun. Here’s to even more exciting adventures in 2024! What will the next quarterly bring? Remember to pee. I wrote this as a reminder to our team earlier this month. For #eventprofs, October is one of the busiest months as everyone scrambles to finish events before the holidays. At Spark Event Collective, we're currently managing 11 events across 4 cities in 28 days. It’s exciting, fun, and challenging—but no one is getting burned out. Here’s how: ?? 8 different #eventprofs are leading 11 projects. No one is booked back-to-back, no one handles more than 2 projects, and no one works alone. Every project has enough support to avoid overload. ??♀? 9 different #eventprofs have rotated through to provide on-site support. We share the long days, take turns taking time off, and always make sure we have more than enough people on-site to handle the workload. ?? 4 different #eventprofs have jumped in when someone’s to-do list gets overwhelming. Whether it’s unexpected travel, family commitments, illness, or just life, we make sure every planner has backup from experienced peers. You don’t have to burn out to succeed in #events. You don’t have to subscribe to hustle culture, feel guilty for resting, or skip breaks—yes, you can even stop to pee.
