Our CEO, Ida Gr?nborg, has been nominated as one of 25 female entrepreneurs you should know in 2024, by the Danish Chamber of Commerce (Dansk Erhverv). She states “ I hope with this nomination, to inspire more female researchers to become entrepreneurs, despite the uncertainties that comes with starting a business, the learnings and personal growth that you will experience to me outweighs the personal risks”. See more about the 25 female nominees here and help us celebrate them -https://lnkd.in/dtjqVD78 A new analysis from the Danish Chamber of Commerce show that despite a 20% increase in female business owners in Denmark the last 10 years, we have not seen an equivalent increase in the growth capital for female owned and mixed founder businesses. The access to growth capital is still only 1% for female owned businesses and 6% for mixed teams, while the remaining capital goes to male founders.

There are fewer female role models in entrepreneurship. Congratulations to CeFEO members Salvatore Sciascia and Lucia Naldi who?together with Sofia Brunelli (first author) and Luigi Vena from LIUC - Università Cattaneo) recently published the article "Does family power drive the size transition of entrepreneurial family firms? A study on the growth of Italian manufacturing firms" in Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development. This paper explores the drivers and inhibitors of the transition of entrepreneurial family firms from small to large firms. The authors adopt two contrasting theoretical perspectives, i.e. agency and stewardship, to explore the effects of family power on size transition.
