A320Neo and A319
A LATAM Brazil Airbus A320Neo aircraft (PR-XBG) collided with another LATAM Airbus A319 aircraft (PT-TMA) on apron at Sao Paulo-Congonhas Airport on 03 December. The ground incident took place on Tuesday morning when an the Airbus A320 was taxiing and hit the Airbus A319 that was beginning the pushback. While the A319 aircraft suffered damage to the tail cone, A320 wing tip area was damaged due to the impact. No one was injured, and the passengers and crew disembarked safely. ??Eric Breno ?????? @EBaviation ??Folha de S.Paulo #aircraft #aviation #safety

So many people see more SOP and more regulation as a solution. Or maybe more wing walkers like it's not bad enough that airport and handling fees often represent a bigger part of the ticket price than the flight itself. I think completelly opposite. Overburden with SOP for even the tiniest things made people stop using their brains. As long as you follow SOP, you are good, right? Well, wrong. Pilots are more and more getting killed "by the book." You taxi a plane, you have to use your eyes to make sure it is safe to move. Regardless if you are on the yellow line, if you got the clearance or not. You are responsible. Also, your ass is in that plane, not the ATCs, EASAs, handling agents etc. We need airmanship and common sense now more than ever. This is also a great case agains pilotless airplanes this is what happens when you have a robot in control. #aviationsafety #easa

“You can never replace human judgment with a machine” a machine can be programmed to assist the flying crew, and the ground crew but the truth remains that it can never take the place of man. it will be a great risk if the industry starts to adopt the use of AI in the cockpit, as this will only encourage complete complacency among the crew. once they noticed that AI responded well the first fifth weeks or months, they will completely become incompetents in managing risk due to full trust in the AI. Such risk shouldn’t be considered at all in the industry, and risk assessment must be a priority in every airline. #aviation?#pilot?#deltairline?#aviationdaily?#crew?#Britishairways

Comparto plenamente la idea que expone este se?or, se trata de ayudas que nos facilitan la toma de decisiones, pero no pueden sustituir al ser humano en ese punto. Definetely agree to the point perfectly explained by this CEO...welcome to all the helpfull technology existing in Aviation Industry, that can be used in the making decision process, but never should be attempted to as a replacement of the human brain nor compare to it's capabilities.

This is Purely my Opinion and Sentiment. And I Will not fly in an aircraft if there is no Two well qualified human pilots aboard the aircraft to fly them. The absolute assurance of having two human pilots aboard and flying the aircraft at all times is a cornerstone of modern aviation safety. The presence of two qualified pilots ensures redundancy, allowing for human judgment and error correction, which are critical in managing complex, dynamic situations that arise during flights. This dual-pilot system is underpinned by the principles of Crew Resource Management (CRM), a set of training procedures that focus on effective communication, situational awareness, problem-solving, and teamwork. CRM has been instrumental in reducing human error and enhancing safety by fostering a collaborative environment where both pilots actively participate in decision-making processes. The importance of two pilots cannot be overstated. In emergency situations, the presence of a second pilot provides an essential layer of safety. The second pilot acts as a check and balance, catching mistakes, confirming decisions, and providing support under stress. This collaborative dynamic is vital for handling emergencies, unexpected technical failures, and complex weather conditions. Moreover, the combined experience and judgment of two pilots are irreplaceable assets in ensuring the safety of passengers and crew. While advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation have transformed many industries, the idea of AI completely taking over the roles of pilots is met with skepticism and concern. AI lacks the intuitive understanding, emotional intelligence, and adaptive reasoning that human pilots possess. Human pilots can interpret subtle cues and respond to unforeseen circumstances in ways that AI, with its reliance on pre-programmed algorithms and data, simply cannot. The trust in human pilots is rooted in their ability to adapt, improvise, and apply critical thinking—skills that are beyond the reach of current AI technology. The aviation community and passengers alike often express a strong sentiment that AI cannot be trusted with flying aircraft alone. The unpredictability of real-world scenarios and the need for nuanced judgment make human oversight indispensable. While AI can assist and enhance pilot capabilities, it cannot replace the human element that is essential for safe and reliable air travel. The assurance of having two human pilots aboard provides a sense of security and confidence that technology alone cannot replicate.
