Monday Memories: We Power We Outside Garden Party BTS! I don’t just shoot the event, I activate creative portrait sessions which I believe adds to the experience! Here are my 3 rules of event photography: — Be okay with walking up to strangers ?? I’ve never met a guest who didn’t want their photo taken especially if they look good! — Don’t worry about getting in the way. Sometimes you may have to get in front of the guests to get your shots. Most times the client has already told you that you take priority so be swift, kneel a little if you have to and get that shot! — Be intentional and cull as you go! No need to take 3-4 pics of the same thing! Delete some of those off shots as you go, in camera during down time at the event. You’ll be happy you did when you get in your post production phase! Happy shooting!

My early pictures were quite awful! I brightened my photo of sirius, and wondered what is the red,and blue surrounding it in the picture? Turned out it was noise! To be more precise of the kind of noise, False Color, or Color Noise. If you were to take a night-time picture at a high-iso, and brightened your image without noise reduction software, you will also get red and blue, and usually green noise like this image. It depends on the scene. Whenever you use high-iso photography, you likely need to also run noise-elimination but that probably only helps so much with the shot above. Its looks out of focus or something too, and probably over-cropped. i might have needed to go with a B/W version!

Sometimes in life, our plans don’t unfold quite as we expect. Back in January, I hosted an interactive workshop to teach beginners how to navigate starting their photography journey, pouring my heart into it, hoping to ignite the passion for photography in others. Despite having 8 spots available, only two individuals joined me. But instead of dwelling on the empty seats, I chose to pour all my energy into those two, giving my absolute best?? He shared how attending my workshop transformed his photography journey, how he’s now capturing life’s moments with newfound passion. His enthusiasm nearly brought me to tears. In moments like these, I’m reminded: it’s not about the numbers; it’s about the impact. So here’s a reminder for all of us: When the crowd is small, remember the power of one.
