We are excited to share big news about #MillionsMissing 2024 - our ongoing campaign to Teach ME and Treat ME by educating medical providers across our nation’s hospital systems and medical schools about myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME, ME/CFS). Throughout the spring, summer and fall, #MEAction teams are hosting 13 medical education events to encourage medical providers to take the Mayo Clinic Proceedings Continuing Medical Education (CME) course on ME/CFS, and presenting medical education flashcards on ME/CFS, Long COVID, and other infection-associated chronic illnesses to medical schools. By engaging with hospital systems and medical schools directly, and providing the tools they need, we’re fostering ME clinical care across the country and beyond. Meanwhile, #MEAction is pursuing opportunities to collaborate with researchers more deeply at Georgetown, Emory, Brown, Mayo and University of Montreal. Researchers at these five institutions have submitted Letters of Intent to signify their formal interest in collaborating with #MEAction in our ongoing #TeachMETreatME initiative. These major institutions have an enormous influence on our healthcare system, and we’re thrilled at this opportunity to move the needle on ME healthcare. We have more news about ongoing efforts here: https://lnkd.in/e3RBK7Sj It is just as important that we SHOW UP FROM HOME to support this year’s campaign. We have a toolkit with all the ways that you can show up from home this week. Choose one or more of the actions to take which are organized by energy levels. Please remember to participate when you can and pace yourself. https://bit.ly/HomeMM2024 The success of #MillionsMissing has always come down to the amazing involvement of our community! Whether you have worked hard to organize a #TeachMETreatME event or are participating from home, we extend our deepest thanks! It is through everyone’s work that we can and will make a difference in the care people with ME need and deserve! #pwME #WorldMEday #MyalgicEncephalomyelitis #MECFS

The Annual Medical School Graduate Survey is underway! A big shoutout to Emory University School of Medicine, Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, Mercer University School of Medicine, Morehouse School of Medicine, and PCOM Georgia for their support in administering the Medical School Graduate (MSG) Survey! Annually, the GBHCW diligently collects and analyzes responses provided by medical schools to publish a report delving into insights into medical education in Georgia. The MSG Survey is read by policymakers, medical school administrators, graduate medical education administrators, and various government and non-government agencies interested in Georgia’s medical school pipeline. Once the survey concludes on May 31st, we'll analyze the responses to provide a comprehensive overview of medical education in Georgia. The results will then be announced and posted on our website later in the year, so stay tuned for updates! Check out our survey results from previous years here: https://lnkd.in/evg3GEv3 #Georgia #Medical #MedicalSchool #Healthcare #Data #MedicalEducation #Physicians
