Feltus Hawkins Design is thrilled to announce the completion of the BNA Vision Program at the Nashville International Airport in partnership with Fentress Architects and Hensel Phelps Construction. The program included several improvements such as a brand new concourse, retail, and dining area, additional airline gates, and a state-of-the-art international arrivals facility. The three-phased terminal garage complex on-site, spacious terminal lobby, central checkpoint, expanded ticketing, and baggage areas, and additional security screening lanes were also part of the program. The BNA Vision Program began in 2017 and wrapped up at the end of 2023. As Nashville continues to grow, we are excited to watch the next phase, BNA New Horizon, get underway. A lack of inclusive design means millions are prevented from fully engaging not only with public and commercial spaces but with society and our economy. To accelerate change and address common knowledge, technical and organisational barriers to designing more welcoming places, we have worked with The Crown Estate to analyse the value case for inclusive places and create free tools to help property companies take action. As part of the change, we are committed to five inclusive design actions including: ·?????Listening to and involving those with lived experience. ·?????Measuring and understanding the level of accessibility of our buildings and spaces to inform key interventions. ·?????Communicating better information on the accessibility of our buildings. ·?????Going beyond building regulations to create a higher inclusive design standard. ·?????Collaborating to ensure inclusive design is considered for new developments and existing buildings. Thanks to all those with lived experience, industry partners and members of the new working group who gave their time and insight in to this report. The BT Tower in London is a landmark with a rich history, it has now been sold to MCR Hotels from the US. This move isn't just a sale; it's a major step forward in repurposing well-known unusual buildings for new uses. We work with the aim to transform under used or vacant buildings into something new, but I've yet to tackle something as iconic as the BT Tower. It makes me think about the endless possibilities. Seeing the BT Tower take on a new role, no matter the timescale, is an incredible example of how we can blend significance with modern purpose.
