Our tenth National Lorry Week campaign is underway and we’re asking you to support it. It takes place between 4-8 November and the promotional campaign starts now. National Lorry Week is our annual celebration of our industry and its people; it’s our campaign to showcase the vital role the trucks, drivers and our industry as a whole plays in the nation’s social and economic wellbeing, and the wealth of career opportunities it has to offer. Our campaign theme is on promoting skills and positioning logistics as an appealing career destination. What we want people to hear – key messages Our industry is vital to our way of life and drives economic growth. Our industry is an aspirational career choice. National Lorry Week celebrates the role of the lorry and its drivers. National Lorry Week celebrates and promotes the work of RHA members. It demonstrates the relevance and value of the sector to the UK economy. We are the go-to organisation for driving business on our roads. We want to encourage young people and anyone who may be considering a new challenge to think about joining the next generation of drivers, managers, and technicians. What we’re asking you to do Repost/Like/Share social media posts Post your own campaign content – remember to use #NationalLorryWeek and tag the respective RHA channel. Snelling Georgia was founded in 1995 as Happy Faces Personnel. Happy Faces always referenced “the triple-win”—Happy employees, Happy customers, Happy Faces! It’s a catchy slogan but underneath the alliteration was the belief that our interests and ability to thrive are always interconnected. The name has changed but the belief is the same! ?? The Benefit of In-Person Time with Support Teams ?? Last week, our Support team had opportunity to come together in person in San Francisco for our Benchling company kick-off event! ?? As a global team dispersed across the world, being together in person provides an opportunity for us to build foundational connections together. Throughout the week, we didn't just work hard, we played hard too! ?? We built psychological safety and trust with each other through improv exercises ?? Our Knowledge Centered Service (KCS) Champions taught us how to write excellent KCS articles through an engaging scavenger hunt ?? We learned each others communication styles and how to interact with customers using Deliotte's Business Chemistry ?? We celebrated our successes in FY24 – A highlight for me was that we handled over 15,000 customer tickets! ?? We heard more about what we are planning for our department in FY25. It's going to be a fun year! Reflecting on our time together, I am grateful we had in person time to solidify our connections and relationships. The last year has been a journey filled with challenging times, growth, learning, and meaningful connections—I an energized to apply my core values to help others (leading through change, supporting our customers, building high performing teams, etc.) and I couldn't be prouder of the team we've become. I am SO grateful for each member of our support team, whose dedication and hard work make moments like these possible.
