In particle physics, flavor has nothing to do with your taste buds. Instead, the term signifies different kinds of particles. There are six “flavors,” or varieties, of quark: up, down, top, bottom, strange and charm. There are also six flavors of leptons: the electron, muon and tau, and their corresponding neutrinos (the electron, muon and tau neutrinos).

2 天前But what are their field configurations (nonperturbative picture)? For quarks, they are connected with QCD flux tubes/quark string modeled as topological vortex - below is some realization of 6 quarks as their fractional charge excitations (from https://arxiv.org/pdf/2108.07896 ). For leptons we at least know they have E~1/r^2 electric field configurations ... but what do we know about field configurations of neutrinos?
