Airspace. Does Sydney need towers taller than Centrepoint? Is there any justification beyond stroking egos? Centrepoint is a unique and iconic building to our cityscape, anything taller should be away from the CBD - and preferably not scarred by a corporate logo. With developed airspace being an asset as Sydney reaches its spatial limits, why not explore building above our rail corridors - or above motorway reserves - such as M6 Stage 2?

In January we celebrated the 3-year anniversary of UltraBarrio. Navigating the complex ground shaped by laws, codes, ownerships, jurisdictional boundaries, and civic plans always sparks our imagination; revealing alternating pressures that shape how a project responds. It’s been an honor that the best of our projects, clients, partners, and collaborators share our ethos.? ? Context (one of our project area diagrammed below) is more active and more fluid than it tends to be perceived, making dialogue-rich collaborations necessary in ensuring decisions have maximum generational benefits. Therefore, our work focuses on generating conditions that are never static, always nimble, and differently magnetic. This means thinking with economics as well as nature, fabrication with flow, hard-scape with heat-sinks, and comfort with transit. Half-way into the year, we look forward to the next 3.
