In October, I attended a magical wedding in Portugal for one of my long-term clients, and a few surprising things happened that inspired me. As I looked across the room, I recognized a former client and was seated next to another current one. At the same time, someone who had attended my very first live event, Ignite, in New York City in 2019, rushed over to tell me she was finally ready to work together. I hadn’t anticipated that a wedding in Europe would bring me back in touch with so many people whose lives and careers had intersected with mine. And something else happened. During every speech, people highlighted the bride's ambition and achievements. The room buzzed with admiration. Although I hadn’t mentioned to anyone that I was the bride’s executive coach, word got out. Guests approached me with curiosity, asking what her “secret” was. While my company, Newborn Evolution LLC, primarily focuses on organizational clients, this experience reminded me of the powerful impact individualized executive coaching can have.
