How Do You Erect a Telephone Mast in the Middle of the Woods? ?? When it comes to erecting a telephone mast in a remote woodland, the right equipment can make all the difference. On this project, our UNIC URW-1006 Mini Spider Crane ??? paired with a 1000kg Hydraulic Fly Jib took on this challenging task with ease. Navigating narrow country lanes, bridleways, and sloping terrain would be impossible for many machines, but the compact yet powerful URW-1006 is built to tackle challenging landscapes. ?? Its rugged tracks and compact frame allow it to cross rough terrain with confidence. Once we reached the site, the crane’s configurable outriggers provided a secure setup on the hillside, even on uneven ground. The 1000kg Fly Jib gave us the extra reach needed to precisely position each section of the mast. Our operator, with the help of a radio remote control, ?? manoeuvred each load smoothly into place while the team worked efficiently on the assembly.
