Industry update: NCTS5 is going live next week!? As HMRC continues to enhance and streamline its operating systems, the current New Computerised Transit System (NCTS4) will be replaced by NCTS5 on July 1st. This marks the beginning of a six-month transition period, during which full functionality should be established by January 22nd, 2025. This upgrade will impact how goods move across countries participating in the Common Transit Convention (CTC) and will introduce several new features and changes, including data requirements, electronic data exchange, and removal of the paper transit accompanying document (TAD).
