https://lnkd.in/dcs6jzyp The Innovation We Can’t Protect Three months ago, I experienced firsthand what it means to lose control of innovation. My ideas—years of work developing sustainable textiles, modular production hubs, and faster supply chains—were stolen, copied, and exploited without my consent. This isn’t just my story—it’s America’s story. We create more ideas than any country on Earth, but the systems to protect and scale them haven’t kept up. While we’ve been focused on inventing the next big thing, China built the infrastructure to control how those things are made. And now, AI and cybersecurity vulnerabilities have turned that gap into a global crisis. America still leads in ideas, but the global economy now rewards those who can control production and protect intellectual capital—and we’re losing in that area.
